I don't know if you can make the border just like the ex-bee line Orion V's or the ex-PBL Orion V CNG's. If not, then both borderless please.

  2. so their RTS are gonna most likely head to LGA or BP to knock out their ex Bee Lines, those 6000's can make their way to JFK as well to bump some of their RTS off to LGA or BP, BP is short 2-3 buses

According to some rumors from some bus operators, LGA may or may not get 2 Orion V units. Like i said, they may or may not get them. Most of the rumors seem to focus around #666. Only time will tell whether the rumors are false or not.

  3. I tried for 1 whole hour and I couldn't post my background here. How do I do it?

Windows: Print Screen / SysRq, and open paint.exe and ctrl + v and save image.

Mac OS X: Command + Shift + 3, a screenshot should appear in the desktop

Linux: Print Screen / SysRq, will usually ask you where to save your screenshot at

Upload the screenshot to photobucket or imageshack and click on the icon of the framed image of a tree, and post the image url on the box and click ok. post as usual.

  4. 01) There were a few RTS @ MJQ back then

    02) LGA doesn't know how to maintain their buses so the MTA doesn't trust them with new ones. just look at the NGs there...

I fail to see much of a difference when it comes to their hybrids. Especially as i am a daily Q39 rider, and Casey Stengel Depot's Q32 and JFK Depot's Q60 routes passes by the college i attend. I've ridden the Q32 sometimes to 82nd St whenever the Q39 takes forever to arrive, or the Q60 to Grand Ave. The RTS buses at LGA are a different story though.

  5. I *think* the game plan *might* have the 1996 RTS repalcing the Bees. LGAs batch of Bees are from 1995. They are actually older than the MTAs 1996 Novas. * Im not 100% on this either that or LGA just happened to need more buses*

The only way we will know for sure that the ex-bees and the 1996 novas would retire for good is that the MTA makes an order of new buses for NYCT Bus to push the 1997-98 batch of Novas to MTA Bus, or if they make a new batch order for MTA Bus that is the equivalent size of the remaining novas and ex-bees.

  6. I was shocked to hear those #s as well. Some words of advice ppl, this may be the end of the ex Bees......So for those of you who haven't ridden them, go for it.

Let's not forget there is still a bad batch of buses at LGA, so that probably explains those transfers. I'm pretty sure the ex-bees and the 1996 RTS buses will retire around the same time.

  7. MTA and Corona Yard would probably prefer having only one type of traction motor to deal with. So if the Bombardier motors are really out of production, than maybe they will put in something else (e.g. Alstom) into all of the trains to streamline the operations. But, MTA as usual will try to keep short-term costs down, and thus this may not be happening.

They will probably try to get compatible traction motors.
