  1. According to a friend of mine who works out of Corona Yard, 7211-7215 went to CIY to be coupled with 7822-7826 for burn-in testing on the Culver Line. You won't see the R188's at Corona Yard yet (he will inform me once the first set arrives)

  2. LaGuardia will continue to get V CNG's, but in a decreasing amount on weekdays only. Usually the buses are returned to CP for refueling around 8PM (the operators deadhead to CP instead of LG and they get picked up to return to LG around that time). You'll be lucky if you see a V CNG doing an LG route after 8PM, as the operator needs to find a way to return to LG from CP as they won't get picked up past that time.

Here's 9889 chilling at LaGuardia earlier:

  3.

No offense to the planned rumor of cp going mostly express, whether its true or not, the rumor has been going on since 2008, you can't base moves based on rumors.[/quote

It's not a rumor if the bus operators at both LGA and CP are both aware about LGA's QM24/25 being lost to CP soon. It might be the summer pick or the fall pick. And yes LGA lost the QM12 to CP for the Winter Pick. The B/O's I know have told me about this.

  4. Well since we're sharing NJT photos, I figured why the hell not.....

MAN Lion's City made to look like an NJT NABI (sort of).

CUSA O.N.E & Bergen IBOA coming soon. I do not plan on releasing this because I don't want to release it without the creator's permission and I have yet to get into contact with him/her, plus I still have a few tweaks to work out.

Permission isn't really needed for repaints and sounds, as long as its only the repaint files and the sound files for a DIY install. Same is true for specific mods which only those files are released, provided you include instructions on how to install ONLY those files. Permission is needed however if it involves re-releasing a modified bus.
  5. Um no, actually you won't see any more CNGs coming down to LGA. The RTS invasion from this past weekend pretty much stopped that.

More like the RTS invasion from this past weekend put several more bees on the scrap line.

EDIT: about 5 came over to LGA yesterday and it looks like 5 more came over today (SevenEleven spotted 4 at LGA with one pulling out signed as a Q39)

  6.

What i am wondering is how Artics are going to fit in 74 St Bus terminal...

You can fit 2 40" buses on each lane without much problem..so it should be able to hold one artic fine per lane. The only deal is that sharp turn when it goes towards atlas park.

The real bugger is if LGA can handle them..

  7. SevenEleven.... ALL Im saying in a nutshell is state it on TTMG... make it known to those WHO DONT know.. thats all.... all heartache is spared lol

As far as I know, the MTA's roster also list JFK's loaners as assigned to Spring Creek still. As long as MTA has those buses listed as assigned to spring creek, ttmg's depot roster will list them as such. That's what the ttmg's roster follows to be as accurate as possible.

PS: you should make your avatar the JFK depot sticker lol

  8.

I totally agree.....LGA can't even maintain a single bus.....i'll bet not one single bus can survive over there

The depot doesn't have enough maintenance bays, and then you got about 16 routes covering about half of queens. I'll admit their maintenance has improved slightly but still not the greatest as the Triboro mentality still lives on. Some of their lines like the Q33, Q47, Q49, Q53 and the Q72 do get ridiculously packed to the door during the rush hours..so they gotta run whatever is available for them to use..there's barely any buses parked at the depot during those hours lol.

The headways tend to be very inconsistent though as a result of having not enough buses to the point CP is loaning theirs.

  9. I think it's safe to say the the XD40's are gonna be what replaces the RTS and the Orion V in the future. They putting together the official policy instruction for hook up training for the XD40/60 right now...

Makes me wonder who's next to get Xcelsiors. Although I have my doubts that MTA Bus would get any.

  10. For some reason I think CP will still need more buses after their order ends there are still a lot of Orion's to retire.

at least 10 the 20 Orion V CNG's at CP are reserved for the A Shuttle. CP is still loaning many of their Orion V CNG's (on weekdays) to LGA to assist in the shortage LGA is dealing with...

...there's no need to bother training LGA drivers with the C40LF's during the shortage if the Orion V CNG's controls are similar to the ex-bee Orion V's. Not to mention many ex-Triboro B/O's still working for MTA Bus being used to operating Orion V CNG's back in the day.
