  1. While we're at this, perfect example of why I'm always on these forums and never posting in the ridiculous group. We're all big boys, we all know this stuff is seen by everybody, and when you lie, you're gonna get caught.

Those are blatant lies. I've never posted anything revealing the identities of any members. I only know a handful of members personally. I don't believe in breaking that anonymity; if people wanna stay unnamed, I let them. I didn't even have a Facebook account until a month or so ago. Perfect example of why the FB group is a disaster: a complete collection of lies and falsehoods with nobody to back it up. But keep on liking it.

    I stay #united4nyctf.

I'm curious how you found that post considering you said you were only on Facebook a month. Personally speaking, I have spent a lot of time fanning with Mark and he is nothing but a nice guy and a wonderful photographer. His presence on here is completely missed. Also, even though the forums technically don't exist, you are in violation of rules as you reveal identities of people when it has nothing to do with the site. If you have a problem with anyone that was not started here, I suggest you take it up with them where it started..... and it wasn't here.

Personally speaking, I haven't posted a lot due to tennis writing, photography commitments and other things. The site was good and hopefully if it comes back, it comes back with things more settled. I met a lot of good people here and to those I don't contact outside of here, I wish you well. To those (and there was only one or two), I also wish you well. Good day everyone and happy fanning. For those that want to see my photos now that I have a DSLR, you can go here:

  2. That's why I like the idea better of having the (T) get to Brooklyn via a new tunnel on Schermerhorn Street that uses the existing Court Street station (with the TM moved elsewhere) and then joins the Fulton Street line at Hoyt-Schemerhorn.  This eliminates the (A) and (C) merge/un-merge east of Hoyt-Schermerhorn since the (T) would use the as-current unused platform at Hoyt-Schermerhorn with the (A) and (C) opening on both sides there.

Let's wait for the (T) to actually get built before we extend it to Brooklyn. I don't get why we're rushing to extend a line that isn't even running yet.

  3. The way it seems to be going, as depots with Orion V's retire them, they are being temporarily replaced with Orion V's from GH making their allotment less and less.  In turn they are getting Orion VII hybrids from Brooklyn.

Eventually when GH gets their allotment of brand new Nova's, hopefully those Orion VII hybrids from Brooklyn will be returning to retire RTS', which in most cases are in much better shape than the Orion V's.

There is no reason to accelerate the retirement of the RTS'.

  4. I rode a new XD40 on the Q23. It felt pretty smooth compared to the older 4800's.

I can't wait to ride these on the Q20 and I know the Q44 will probably run them too when CS gets their batch.

I was a little disappointed yesterday because the Q44 that came before the Q20A I got on was a Orion VII. Then at Kew Gardens the Q10 that I took was a Orion VII and behind it was two more Orion VII's. When I took the Q10 back to Kew Gardens at about 11:30 at night it was also a Orion VII. What is the purpose of CS and JFK having artics if the Q44 and Q10 still run with several standard buses. I don't see Orion VII's running on the M15, M101, or M103 unless there is a emergency or a snow storm. I feel that CS and JFK have a lot of artics that are sitting out of service.

The M101 has had Orion VII a couple of times, as has the M14D and Bx42.

  5. The thing is though, the Bx22 has a similar notation to an already existing route, which it runs for quite a while with. There is no corresponding SBS route for those you mentioned. Sure, it's their fault if they don't read the route number, but that's what he means.

I know. Wasn't trying to argue or refute his point. Just pointing out the routes I saw them on.

  6. I would assume that the bus had to turn around early to keep it's schedule or it broke down. I highly doubt the bus was signed up to terminate there. What time of day was this?

It was signed up as going to Sedgwick Avenue. I asked him if it was SBS because, like you, I thought the signage was a mistake, but when I got off at Sedgwick, he said I had to take the next bus. It was mid-afternoon.
