  1. Wasn't there that tunnel down in Bay Ridge that was started but never finished? It would make sense to finish it and connect the (R) to Staten Island that way.  But that's probably not going to happen in my lifetime.

First, it was the (7) to New Jersey and now this. What's the big fascination with connecting NEW YORK trains to NEW JERSEY?

  2. This whole shtick about not telling the cops if you see someone acting poorly sounds like little kids and their fears of tattle tales. This all reads like a high school drama, down to the idea that a**kicking is a magical problem solver. Unbelievable.

You need to be invested in the situation to fully grasp this. Since we know talking to them won't work and you say fighting isn't the answer, give me your solution. And you don't know us and why we do this. Don't call us little kids.

  3. And how would that be any better? At least with an internet discussion, if the targeted individuals don't see the post and learn from it, someone else might, for all we know. I have seen a variety of situations where advice was given to someone who was behaving badly, and while the intended target audience didn't catch on, I and others, to whom the message was not intended, took the advice anyway, thus preventing or minimalizing future conflict by not being involved in it.

...And if the conflicts get physical? What then? Is it worth going to jail over these people? And what are the chances that the message will stick with them, rather than them brushing you off as "some a** who likes to get into fights"? It's not worth it.

Some people don't learn their lesson just by talking to them.

  4. How do you propose we do that? If anyone has any better ideas than calling out people for their behavior (i.e. actually saying what was done wrong and why it's wrong, and not repeating foamers over and over like a broken record, the height of unhelpfulness and uselessness), then please go ahead and share, I'm listening.

We have stated that we would like to meet these morons and teach them a lesson or two.

  5. That's still no excuse for the way the "good guys" are acting towards these idiots.

Someone in some of these FB groups really needs to pitch the idea of a confrontation. Hit up the foamers and tell them, meet us in whatever park and we'll settle this. I'd be more than happy to take part in that confrontation, even if the groups are stuck on this "let's narc and harass the foamers and that'll definitely stop everything" mentality I'm sure there's enough people out there that are with it.

Well, you know what? I wasn't there. Don't put me in that ''good guys acting that way towards them'' group. Be more specific. We're trying to fight for our good name and reputation, not to mention our hobby that we so dearly love. I do agree with you on confronting people. I've wanted to do this with people for far less than what happened on the (R) , but if they have a weapon, it's all over. This is not like a stunt where people jumped over tracks for a stupid YouTube video. This is a fight for survival. Think about that.

  6. If my hobby is made obsolete by this, then people will pay. People who behave like myself and others should not suffer at the hands of morons. It gives us a bad name and makes us the bad guys when we aren't. If the (MTA) changes things because of this, lots of people will have to answer for this. Childish behavior like this is uncalled for, dangerous and just plain stupid. I hope these idiots get everything they deserve.

  7. Today was the first time in 17 years of my life that I rode the (L). I didn't ride the entire line though. I only rode it from Broadway Junction to Union Square, after fanning the (A) and its shorten version (to which I usually do almost every after school and all the time when school's out). The midday G.O. had trains split into two sections on the (L), with the elevated portion running 3 tph. Even though I'm completely indifferent to the line and its fleet, it is a pretty fast service, especially through the 14th Street tubes. After that, I went fanning on the (N) between Union Square and Astoria, then I stayed on it until Atlantic to take the (3) home.

So that only leaves the (S) 42nd Street Shuttle, which I don't really bother to ride at all.

They've been doing that split service for the (L) for a while now. I fanned at 125th (1) followed by Smith-9th Streets and 4th Avenue (F)(G) and then to Howard Beach-JFK Airport (A) and ended it at New Utrecht Avenue (N) , which i'm going back to because I only got 1 shot before my camera ran out.

  8. It's not as bad as you're making it out to be...

    I've seen it first-hand.

LMAO... Can't be any worse than the area over by Dyckman...

Maybe you can come over from your penthouse at Henry Hudson Parkway and 239th to see for yourself since you've never been to Inwood, as you yourself stated  . In all seriousness, comparing the two areas is an insult to the hard-working folks here.
