When did 7271 get into an accident?
15 hours ago, DCTransitFilms said:This happened about two weeks into my NJT training, along with a classmate that ended her training by turning into a wall at PABT snarling the morning rush hour 🤦♂️

21029 is at Wayne and more 18070s are there too. I got to drive 18077

NJ Transit is giving some of their current fleet a retro look. Not sure how long it will last, but it's something to be on the lookout for.
Yeah I only saw that one so far

Surreal to see a NABI get the black paint at Meadowlands

Isn’t 7157 a Meadowlands bus?
If we got 7130, it’s a safe bet we got all of Meadowlands 7100s (except for the bathrooms of course)

No, Oradell is still doing those trips. I haven't seen a Wayne unit on either route, mostly the 22000s from Oradell.
Today was the start of the new pick. Monday is when Wayne starts the 101/105 routes

What sucks is that we are still doing the 101 and 105…we have I believe 2 trips in the morning and 2 trips in the PM
Really? I thought we completely absolved you of those lines

Any reason as to why the move from Oradell to Wayne? Deadhead?
Wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest. Oradell to West Caldwell is hard, but all the way to West Orange??? Sheesh

Saw this a joke on one of my group chats (as the date they put is 11/31/2023). Lakeland isn’t going anywhere (that Ik of).
That’s a really sick joke

What's the reasoning behind those relocations (and/or, why do you think/know those changes were made) ?
I’m not sure why about the relocations, but I can tell you that a month after we had our regular September pick, NJT took the 101 and 105 from Oradell and gave them to us at Wayne, thus making us undergo an emergency pick along with the training of those lines

Wait Lakeland went out of business??

Where they’re sure to employ their newest J models 😁

The DeCamp lines 101, and 105 have been relocated from gate 208 to Gate 315. The former Lakeland gates 206 and 207 will be manned by the 112 and the 116 on 207and the Secaucus buses 122, 124, and 129 on gate 206

Surprised nobody posted about the mud slide disrupting Metro North Hudson Line service, its split between Tarrytown and GCT and Croton Harmon and Poughkeepsie.

Nice to see #2625 out & rolling along route 9 earlier today.... Bus looks nice & clean also.
Never knew that Howell P&R was used as a storage facility.... Saw maybe about 25-30 buses or so towards the very back corner....
Later on in the day, I also saw something else up close & personal that, as a passenger, I definitely was not supposed to see.... I'm just going to leave it at that.
Looks like you saw the buses being used for the Roadeo at Howell. I’m on vacation now and I was supposed to be away instead of being at Howell. Unfortunately Mother Nature put a damper on both so I opted to stay with family in Brooklyn

Using Philadelphia transit vehicles, the 24 is a mix of Orange, Ironbound, and Academy. The 31 is Hilton, the 44 is Big Tree. Saw a pic of 5780 on the 44 earlier and someone Ik saw a Hilton bus on the 31.
Thinking since this was all a sudden thing to happen, NJT didn’t had time to code the 24, 31, or 44 on mybus.
Sheesh. Academy is in on this too?
I’m wondering if it’s only a matter of time that we have to go the “Rob Peter to Pay Paul” route just to maintain a certain level of service on these routes

Those south Jersey Nabis are only temporary. Academy is only helping out until njt gets enough man power hired. A lot of the one bus guys have to leagally go through the hiring process and must complete the 21 day training. Unfortunately most of the A&C were njt ops that was fired.
The private carriers were the one haven for (temporarily) disposed operators

Wayne has to have a new pick again due to 2 more trips being added to the former DeCamp lines.

I wouldn't expect them to have them for much longer. NJT seems to be on the hunt to have every single NJ bus route operated under their brand.
Similar to what MTA did to the private companies all those years ago.

Dont all the Coach drivers need a new gig?
On 9/27/2023 at 6:59 PM, Cait Sith said:It depends if they'll be able to transfer over just like the Transdev ops.
Since it's Coach USA, they'll likely be moved to other garages and such.
They’d have to go to Newark for retraining. They used a completely different fare system and register as opposed to NJT proper.
