About BXM4's post. I will omly respond to the few ideas that are not abysmal
I definitely agree there needs to be more express service, instead of starting early (I think ot starts at 3PM or something) the service should run till later hours 8 at least
I support an extension but not to court st, maybe to Atlantic ave but still keep the D as a local.
How do you expect to terminate express at X there is no express platform there

@TtoDyre The B going local after Newkirk is because of the fact that there isn't much of a time savings between the newkirk/prospect portion. Also that area is very dense in population and a second service would be useful

Well I think its fine to have 2 express trains per local the reason some stations are 'local' is because there isn't enough ridership to warrant a second servoce. The key to not overcrowding the expresses from the transfers from the local by discouraging such transfers by making sure the lcal and express don't arrive at major transfer points together Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
My proposal about rhe Brighton line: I want to rearrange trains there.Q stays local during rush hours. New brown to metropolitan or Brighton introduced with 10 min headways via Nassau Peak direction express on Brighton. Old would still run with same 2 trains less per rush hour. Current B would be express unit newkirk going local afterwards Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk

@Abba I have had that problem before, mostly on MTA Bus fareboxes on the B103 or the BM3. The MTA Bus fareboxes are diffrently built and from a different manufactrer than the NYCT fareboxes

Its not just high schoolers that is how all of non-immigrant america is. That is why people who are born here would rather be "managers" and do nothing than actually work for real like the immigrants who come to this country and don't take freedom for granted and work for a better life not like Americans who were born here feel everything is given to them.

Why would you need the between WTC and Queens Plaza if you have the running through there. If it's for having an extra local on 8ave just make the local

Let alone the fact that its a distraction to the bus operator and can pose as a hazard

@Xcelsior. For the guy on the 36/1 I think ik who ur talking about made numerous complaints about him myself, he didn't stop for wheelchair passenger's and over the past year I had him almost every day either in the A.M. or P.M.. I am sure this is the same guy as before
Random thought of the day: Yesterday the farebox on the B36 was broken (as usual) and people were boarding w/o paying, in result the B/O was actually on time picking me up and dropping for the first time ever. Says a lot about how effective SBS can be where people dont delay the bus while inserting thier coins

I think a private operator should step up and start operating these routes by getting politicians to put pressure on the MTA would make life much easier plus handsome profit

Few realize that the MTA never wanted the B51. It was a response from communities to run a local route over the Brooklyn Bridge. Several community boards faught for it over a period of three years as an alternative to the subway. The route they requested began at Grand Army Plaza and would have operated along Flatbush Avenue straight over the Manhattan Bridge and south to Worth Steet via Park Row. They MTA knew it would have been successful and they woud have had to provide too much service. They also knew many would choose that route to get a seat rather than standing in a crush loaded subway, so they refused to operate it.
So instead they proposed a poor substitute, something they knew woud attract far fewer passengers. A shuttle route from Downtwn Brooklyn. And they were right. It was never well utilized, and they eliminated it at the first opportunity, the 2010 service cuts.
If the MTA didn't want to run the route theu should've subcontracted to a private company, a private co. could run buses cheaper than public buses because there is no union BS.
If a private co. like academy or a new operator could run it it would be a huge benefit to the community

That's gotta be a mess with the beach crowds, especially today and tomorrow now that the weather's nice. Plenty of people get to the beach with the 2/5 and Q35, they picked one hell of a weekend to do that GO.
Or they could take the dollar van to the beach

To further talk about runs the run number is based on which route the majority of trips are on:
For example a b/o has 1 trip on the BM3 but then 2 on the BM4 his run might be 401 (4 is the usual BM4 designation), also.if a route is in interline and has the same number of trips on two or three different lines it would have a run number of X(or blank) and then the order of which it comes out of the depot. For example I take the B36 run 13 in the AM and it is the 13th interline to leave the garage that morning and would do a number of trips on the 36 then a number of trips on the 3
Also for future reference because idk bout other depots Im going to include run numbers of UP:
B1: 1--
B3: 2--
B6: 3--
B36:4--
B64: 5--
B74:6--
X27/37:7--
X28/38:8--

I can agree with you about the short turns. Here is my solution I think there should be one branch going from city hall to 96 st on lex with 3 minute headways to go to the other destinations people would have to transfer at 96 for the 101, 102, 103
