Yeah, I kept noticing that when some sets get delayed during its route, it slows down and slowly makes a stop and the announcements still go on when it is about to stop.Sometimes the announcements trigger before the station, but sometimes it triggers when in the station. I had an R188 yesterday slowly go into Woodside and like 5 meters before the train's in the station it stops, and the announcement triggers. Turns out there was a local straight infront, so we were delayed. But I was like WTF when it triggered before entering the station..
That's what I thought too, but I don't think so because sometimes the strip maps get messed up and/or the conductor programs when to set off the trigger announcement because remember, some lines do not have New Tech Trains and still use SMEE's like . Some lines use both NTT/SMEE Sets like the and and some lines have CBTC like the andI am not familiar with the NTT's announcement system but could there be a electronic"tag" that when read by a detector on the wheel prompts that stations announcement to play?

Wow. A Manhattan bound went Express/ or if some people prefer "Skip-Stop" for some reason

What you can do is google keywords 'gifs k pop j pop Asian' and go through the results.Use a gif editing too such as http://www170.lunapic.com/editor/ to reedit the gif to make it work as an avatar. That gif is too heavy to use on IP Board I tried several times reediting it. But most others work with editing.
Thank you realizm

Theres many Asian sirens who are topping Asian charts going off the beam in the K-Pop world. They can dance their asses off, sing beautifully with energy, and damn they are sexy and thats an understatement! They really come close to the awesomeness of American R & B groups here in the states, giving US artists a run for their money in the international music scene.
*Credits to Screechy Flange for the find!
Lemme use it! Or send me a link for other gifs as Asians!

If it was vacant with signs posted indicating it is a test train with MTA prsonell and Kawasaki engineers present with computer equipment then yes thats a burn in test. But this sounds like whats described is a massive glitch where trains open on the wrong side and even being uncoupled due to mechanical problems in regular operation from the feedback other members have related from RTO personel.
Oh boy, we just *might* see a lawsuit coming up with the MTA suing Kawasaki at this point even though it has not been revealed. Shits just got real.
This explains alot as to why Bombardiar refused to even try taking up the R188 contract. They probably really foresaw the possibilities for problems like this, cant rule this out even though the official statement is that they didnt find the contract to be profitable and didnt want to invest in facilities to complete the work.
Let's hope not but it didn't say TEST TRAIN Kawasaki so I guess so

So many sets that are in the yard and many of them are conversions and new sets. And uncoupling/wrong side? I saw a set that opened the wrong side at Junction Blvd. Is that a test train or could it be the prob?

I was recently on an R62A where the conductor specifically pointed out that you could ride around the loop to the uptown platform, and to stay within the cars as the train went through the loop. I've also been on R142A (6)s where the conductor keyed the mic in the middle of the "last downtown stop" message and started shouting "LAST STOP NO PASSENGERS THIS TRAIN IS OUT OF SERVICE", when the train was just going around the loop to the uptown track, in service. It's more about how the conductor's attitude is than what model of train you're riding, really.
That message was pretty long, though. In my experience, it was sometimes to the point of having trains dwelling a long time in empty-ish local stations, or having conductors rush the computer to the doors-closing message. Generally, seeing the diamond on the front sign, or the map LEDs having the Bronx stations lit, or the next-train system showing instead of would probably be enough to determine whether it was gonna be Bronx local or express, so it's fine if the train says "This is a Bronx-bound 6 local train".
It only says "This is a Pelham Bay Park Bound.... Local Train. The next stop is," as the conductors are suppose to put "This is a Bronx bound...."

Total trains: 54. Total R160s: 460, 61% in service. Total R46s 64, 19% in service. Total Jamaica Yard cars in service 524, 48% fleet in service.
Some facts:
Surprised that there were less R46s . The runs a good amount of R46s if you wait a while. There are more R160s on weekends than R46s.
I was there too. I rode on an R160 to Bay Ridge (#9857) and it was crowded with people.

On the Manhattan bound express track between north of union turnpike and 75th ave (nights only) they lay up some trains
Weekends and every night on the Jamaica express tracks between 75th and union those are lay up tracks
Between supthin and parsons those are ®'s that get layed up and turned into (F)'s the very next weekday
On the Manhattan bound exp track between 169-parsons that's where the is layed up
Its basically a cycle and the still uses Jamaica equipment on the weekends
The is borrowing I think some sets from the ? Or maybe some from the / . I've been seen more R160 sets on the than R46 sets

If we are lucky enough, highly doubt, they will put an R142A on the

Rode 7821 today... They gotta re-align those things that surround the interior LED's of 7821. It was out of alignment and blocked part of the sign, still legible though. Overall, that set pretty much has minimal vandalism and is still good as new.
On another note, while waiting for it at Court Square, 7833-7843 passed on the other side. I was sitting straight infront of 7839, with sharpie all over that stainless steal next to the windows. Breaks my heart that these a**holes feel like they can vandalize sh*t like it ain't worth anything.
EDIT: Out of curiosity, what happened on the R32 ? And if the TOMC runs tomorrow, the best picture one will take - express R188 in the middle of TOMC and an R62A, all three in one.
I saw that too! I was at Flushing and I was pissed. Sick of vandalism! I also saw dry brown graffiti on that set. > ugh

I'm going to go. I'll make sure my camera is charged and it has plenty of space.
I wonder how many of you guys I will see.
Will the trains be there early in morning

The TOMC event is cancelled
What? Why

Ik yall are going to scream at me but here is an idea what if a was instated that went Kings HWY via Whitehall via Nassau via via 6 ave local to 57 st/ 6ave (if its possible)
Sent from my SPH-L710 using Tapatalk
Why can't the run it's new route during rush hours and run it's old route late nights/ early morning to Chambers...Brown . That way the Brown can run faster instead of waiting so long during the late nights
But, the can run its route during late nights/ morning/noon and maybe a or so can comeback and run through the sandy reroute

Ignore the squad lol , but I've been on many R142/A Lex Ave Line with announcements saying the correct stations and the strip maps blink the wrong station (I.e. Bleecker St. but Strip Map shows Canal St)
