Nope. Its a   line exclusive like Kingsbridgeview382 mentioned. The other IRT Lines (rarely   /  /   /   /  ) already use the R142A car sets or idk if in the future, the    decide to use the R188 on the Other IRT lines, doubt it.

So the announcements must of been fixed for the 188's 

There was a R142 on the  @ Dyre Avenue that had the announcements hardwired into the intercom system, caught on video apparently in 2001, I think according to some of the comments on the video. But some of the announcements and LED messages will be different from back then. It's anyone's guess how it will actually sound on the R188's but it could be similar to how it plays in this video.

Yep I saw that video long ago already and it was an R142, as you can see of the blinking led annoncements and not very visible Bombaider Plate at the corner. Did Railfan2 ask an  employee or conductor to play the announcements just to see?

Yeah well it's not the like can have its own track for the entire course so it would be pointless as it saved no time at all.  It's one of those nothing you can do about it situations.
