Long as people don’t hold the doors

It’s not just ppl holding the doors, it’s the ppl confused about what train to get on as soon as train doors are closing. This one lady on W4th St nearly got squeezed by them on Saturday afternoon as I was on the (A)

Their old, unreliable and break down often, and most of the ones in service either have a dead motor, bad brakes, or both. a few weeks ago they took a r46 N out of service at ditmars because it had 3 dead motors in a row in the front of the train and every time it would brake the damn thing would lunge forward, im surprised they even made it to ditmars

If y’all 🛑 😭 about service, maybe these cars won’t break down often. Ya can’t take care of new buses neither.

Let's not forget that we have a federal government, especially in Congress, who have a hard time understanding that driving is NOT for everyone and they refuse to invest in more public transportation.

Is there a US city that has better public transportation than the MTA??

As for the r211's, the MTA better purchase option order 2 if they really want to avoid big headaches in the long term.

There is 👎 city in the 🇺🇸 that can outwit the (MTA) none!

(SEPTA)‘s MFL M-4s are wearing out and they’re 26 years old. They need new cars for them and extra trains on the Broad St Line.

WMATA’s Metrorail had their issues with their 7000 series subway cars and the system’s accident prone.

CTA & MBTA has issues with CRRC.

maybe small town buses are ranked better, except they operate every 60 minutes.

just be patient & wait, because 💰 doesn’t grow on 🌳

  4. Add 4 more more new XDE40s 3593, 3594, 3595 & 3596 to Southern District. As for the D40s, these are the final 10 buses operating: 8001, 8008, 8018, 8024, 8042, 8044, 8051, 8053, 8062 & 8070.

    Callowhill has 8 D40s remaining: 8075-8076, 8079-8080, 8083, 8085, 8088 & 8091

    Frontier has only 5 D40s remaining: 8101, 8104, 8109, 8112-8113.

Blame it on the knuckleheads who broke the windows on the r46's.

Don't be surprised if these idiots did these acts of vandalism to pressure the MTA to put NTTs on the NQW. Notice that AFAIK they only vandalized CI r46's.

I just hope that these vandals get caught and serve time in jail.

Also, the MTA needs to exercise caution in regards to retiring the r46's. IMO the r46's should temporarily be stored as emergency fleet before being scrapped.

Fair weather foamers is what I call them. If They think the (MTA) is gonna put new techs on the (N)(Q) & (W), they got another thing coming. If they’re not paying attention, they better be now. Extra security is being place at ALL (N), (Q) & (W) stations for any person or persons of interest who dare to smash windows again. It’s $500 fine & 1 year in jail. And I don’t wanna hear NONE of their parents or legal guardians of that person saying that he or she was a good person. These NASD windows are very expensive. You want new subway cars? I’ll see you in a year!

Is CBTC still having issues with the 63rd St shutdown? I thought maybe it was because it struggled to handle trains entering CBTC territory and then immediately afterward having to deal with the merges at Queens Plaza.

I occurred many activities along the (A) & (C) lines and someone got busted for 🏄‍♀️ at Nostrand Ave trying to do it sideways.

That will depend if things go well for them in Canada. It will be quite a while before Solaris enters the US scene and I doubt they would want to go to MTA for orders as a new player in the market.

    Unless they do electric buses.

  8. With all this GO going on today, there was only a train of (1) set of R211: 4090-4094 + 4125-4129 in service on the (A) and a set of R160s 8401-8404 + 8489-8492 on the (C) between both 207th & 168th Sts respectively to Euclid Ave. I didn’t check the Rockaway section today.

The R68A's will be stuck on (B)(D) for while until about end of 2027, the way how R211's deliveries are coming along, The (A)(C) should be 100% R179 and R211's by end of 2025 based on deliveries rates 20 cars per month, so basically we won't likely start seeing R211A's on other lines until beginning of 2026 or end 2025.

Very, very well. Right now, the R211A delivery is up to 4140-4144, with 6 sets in service.
the 6 sets are in order:

    (1) 4060-4064+4065-4069

    (2) 4070-4074+4075-4079

    (3) 4085-4089+4095-4099

    (4) 4080-4084+4120-4124

    (5) 4090-4094+4125-4129

    (6) 4110-4114+4115-4119

    —————————————-

the (7)th set: 4100-4104+4105-4109 is in burn in test.

R211T: 4040-4059 are in the system and ready for passenger testing in 2024

R211S: 100-104 are in the system and it will be shipped to Staten Island and operate on their tracks after going thru testing

R211A: 4130-4144 so far are in the system and will go thru burn in.

R211A: 4145-4499 will be delivered 5 cars at a time with timing from both (MTA), (NYCT) & Kawasaki.

So, we have 110 R211s delivered to NYC so far, but I'm assuming 4145-49 will get delivered next week.

And MAYBE, MAYBE  a T will hit service next week cuz it's usually 1 R211A train every 2 weeks. It has been back to back, last week being 4090-94/4125-29, and today being 4110-4119. And that's probably why the MTA did so. But it's whatever. My damn diagram, but actually correct.

    R211A: 4060-4144, 85 cars, or 8 10-car trains and 1 5-car train

    R211T: 404-4059, 20 cars, or 2 10-car trains

    R211S: 100-104, 5 cars, or 1 5-car train

    Total: 85 + 20 + 5 = 110 total R211 cars

    R211s in service: 4060-4099, 4110-4129 (all As), 60 cars, or 6 10-car trains

    Lines R211s run on: (A)

Lines R211s will soon run on: (C)(B)(D) ((F) is still possible if the Softee transfers back to 🇯🇲)

You gotta take it one line at a time. You can’t assume until ALL BASE order is done

as for the R211Ts, nobody knows for sure once the R211Ts start late this year

  11. What do you expect? School kids come out and they wanna do damage. These parents, who don’t care about them while they’re at work, trying to support their bills, meanwhile, the kids doing all kinds of bad things: robbing, stealing, assaulting the innocent. Then they see new trains and think: “oh, new toys to bash”, however, these R211s have cams on them. They see damage, they better start running for their personal freedom, that kid gets arrested, don’t come to me crying that he or she wants to go home when they SHOULD BE HOME instead of in the subway proper. That’s why that person is always on the news, then when their parents sees this, that kid better not go home right away. If that kid does, he or she got a belt waiting.

but at least on the 6th set, it’s going “complete”

Funny. The 117 and the 110 now have a connection to the Media/Wawa Line. the 110 can also go up to PA 352, along with the 114. The 127 will go from Neshaminy to Trenton, the only bus route to go to Jersey. The 14 is shortened by a lot, too, going only from Neshaminy to Oxford Valley Mall. the 130 goes to BCCC, and a couple other things I didn't mention I'll mention later

The 14 will operate 30 minute max from FTC to Neshaminy Mall and 60 minutes from the spot I bold it. The 127 has been the only bus route that goes to Jersey. But look at that whole blue shaded spot. That whole area is gonna be served by microtransit

  13. 4 hours ago, Ale188 said:

Oh, ok. I see the 107 & 68 get extended to the airport and the 12's eastern terminal is now PL. the 116 extends to Delaware and the 119 gets close to the state, terminating near Conchester Highway

Chester County is taking a large hit. They’re losing 2 routes: 204 & 206. But 204 is operated by Krapf’s though. So that means that Krapf’s will have to find other ways to implement new routes on their own to serve around West Chester (served by SEPTA’s 104 & 135) and Paoli area (SEPTA’s 142: the old 92 & 206 combined). The Microtransit thingy over there is so large.

actually the 68 is shortened big time. The 68 will operate full time only to PNC Operations Center. That’s the only bus that will NOT serve the airport. Only the 37, 107 extension, 108, 115 & new 137 will serve the airport. A Southern & 4 Victory routes.

That's nice to know. I like how the 60 is going to D-Town

I meant by minutes, not by route. Route 60 itself will be partially be discontinued at the east end, ending only at Richmond & Westmoreland, and on the west end, extended to Wissahickon TC, ending with 9, extended 40, 71 (ex-H) & 82 (ex-R). The 27, 61, 124 & 125 will still serve the area.

  15. 39 minutes ago, Ale188 said:

Will any other lines be lengthened? If SEPTA is shortening lines, they have to lengthen others.

65 will be from Chelten & Germantown to FRTC, the 18 will be switch from Fox Chase to FTC, the 55 will run directly on Route 611 30 to Willow Grove, 60 to Doylestown. Willow Grove will be served by 22, 55, 83 and 310.

Well, damn. At least none of my home routes are changing, such as the 60 & 93.

I didn’t include the 46 moving from 60th to 61st St in both directions. The 43 running on Havenford Ave and the 31 running with the MFL all the way to 63rd. The frequency of 52 will only start from Park West, while operating every 1/2 hour north of it. The 44 will directly run with the Cynwyd line’s latter 2 stations

If everything is planned with the XE40 assignments (subject to change of course), then I will see these possibilities:

East New York could retire all of the NGs that were given from Casey Stengel, and solve the fleet shortage at ENY, Grand Avenue could send some XD40s to Fresh Pond or Flatbush to retire their NGs, Charleston could displace some of their LFSes to Jamaica, and then Jamaica could displace some of their XD40s to Fresh Pond or Flatbush to retire their NGs, Michael J. Quill could send some of their LFS HEVs to Manhattanville to retire some NGs over there, and Kingsbridge may not have any changes, unless they send some of their LFSes to Jamaica to push out some of their XD40s to Fresh Pond or Flatbush.

All of these possibilities are subject to change.

GA needs their buses since they lost their proterras because their lease was up. As for Quill, the XE40s they’re getting will send their LFS to the Bronx, while Kingsbridge could send theirs to Gun Hill. Yes, GH does need more 40’ buses because the (Bx28), (Bx25), (Bx26) & (Bx24) during peak hours.

Some of the kids don't care about their lives. Most do the surfing because they wanna be famous and be like 'ooh, look at me, I'm on a train dancing' when people are gonna obviously report it for the most obvious reasons. If I ever saw a kid subway surf (hell, I almost surfed on a school bus before, and I regret it), I would tell them to stop damaging their lives or tell them that 'Is this how you wanna die?' But the post I'm quoting here is just one word: True. Maybe the MTA should add platform screen doors at almost all stations. They're even planning to do so on the 7, L, and another line that I forgot about. But some kids don't think straight. They don't think life is good, so they treat the trains like the game of Subway Surfers. The 7 is the one that gets surfed the most probably because of it's long 11-car trains. But have you ever got told 'I'm gonna be back' by a kid? Well, that statement goes towards death, and everyone blames the subway for it. Maybe they should blame the kid cuz no one told them to surf on the train at the first place. The subway is just running 24/7/365, that's all it does, but no, 'The kid did not deserve to die.' They did. How? by surfing for literally no reason. So yeah, learn something, kids.

The kid who was in the fight during the R211’s first inaugural run back in March, mentioned that and the gf of the person who got killed took it too seriously. (I found out she was a foamer herself)
