Very well put together post! Every job or line you go into, i think for most part you all have to be similiar breed. In the sense where you looking to achieve something. yes you are right some of us currently are bosses and that will be a hard thing to put away on the shelve. But i am sure it will be rewarding in the end!

@Runningonrails, keep an eye out for the letter as well. Guys if everyone can just update there appx list number when they receive the letter, it would be greatly appreciated!

I would be leaving a high paying job and actually loose money. But longevity and retirement is important to me as well! Really hoping this letter comes in next few months. 457X is my list number. Feels like it will never come lol!

@k423, hey so you got a letter to come in and your list number is 44XX? Wow i thouht they were only up to like 41XX. Hope this mean they will call as many as possible up to 4691!

lol, at least your one step closer!! Deff ! kinda sux to have so many unanswered questions. After the cancellation of the next train operator exam and not knowing how many names they will get to with the cut off at 4961.

110% @runningonrails. Hopefully we have better idea come Oct/Nov! Just called DCAS automated system. Everything is status quo on the update as of today.

@runningonrails, i feel you. I'm 457x... So close yet feels so far away haha. But keep hope. It pretty cool to see people as eager as i am. This forum seems to have great group of ppl!

Got it. Well im appx 400 or so away. So all i can do is be hopefull that till Sept 2016. I'll possibly recieve that letter!

how long is the process about from the time you get the letter to come down to 180 Livingston to knowing if you are hired?

@runningonrails, i agree with you. All we can do is positive thinking and good hopes. It's all up to how many classes will be put in past Oct. In meantime, best we can do is keep checking DCAS automated system and following up with Mrs. Rivera at times.

It used to be 4618 was the last eligible list number now when you call DCAS automated system it was raised to 4691. Hopefully thats a sign at least they will get towards those numbers. i believe they are somewhere around 4100's. 45XX seems far away for me at this point!!!

BTW it looks like the promotion exam to T/O is back up . anyone think they will complete the current 8098 list before going to the promotional exam list?

hey guys, can someone just shed a light on what outstanding Certification means? I called DCAS the other day and they said everything is fine? is there anything to worry about or that is normal? thanks!!

@dainty2200, makes sense i just saw that on the website as well. Hopefully its not that they just dont ant to hire anymore because Mrs. Rivera told me after Oct they were not sure if there would be consecutive classes. But agreed hopefully thats a good sign. My number is 457X and i have ways to go i can only hope!

FYI, i spoke with Mrs. Rivera this morning, nice lady. She said that after Oct it will be very close for the remainder of the list as they are not sure if they will have continuous classes monthly. here number is 347 643 8128, if anyone needs to call for updates.

i called the number and she said it is the wrong Mrs. Rivera, that there is another Mrs. Rivera there who deals with it. i was transferred but couldn't leave a message. is there another number you my know? Thanks

Congratulations tprashad0719, best of luck! When calling Mrs. Rivera, doesn't DCAS handle the initial call? or this comes from her office? please let me know if i should reach out to her my list number is 45XX. thanks!
