Finally! Now there's double the chance to catch an R179 (A) Is this one not trackable as well?

Caught that exact same set testing before it went into service.

Again, why would the (B) line need R32’s ? The R68’s from the (G) will be MORE than enough coverage for (B) train service. As far as R32’s on the (G) I personally don’t see it happening but it’s possible for Coney Island to house R32’s again... Supervision would probably run 480ft and 600ft trains on the same line as they do with the (C) That wouldn’t surprise me.

The (G) would need R32s for additional service since they are converting to 8 cars. So the (G) most likely would get the 32s.

This article may interest some of you I've noticed that the 179s have had their fair share of consistent breakdowns and defects. I am aware of the possibility that can just be an effect of the "New Subway Car Phase" but I would like to shed some light on what is going on specifically. My experiences with the 179s personally haven't been really good.

Anyone else notice that the R42/R32 has painted roofs that are NOT consistent in color?? Why is this being done. Especially for R32’s why does it matter for their roofs to look shiny or new?

It's necessary because the roofs are detoriating fast. The roofs (before SMS) had a whole bunch of scrachitti on them and it looked terrible. I remember that's how the 38s went when they literary had to put tape on the roofs.

There no R train service from 36 St-(BKLYN) to 95 St in both directions because of debris on the tracks at 86 St.

There is R shuttle train service between 36 St (Bklyn) and Bay Ridge-95 St in both directions. Southbound R trains are stopping along the D line from 36 St (Bklyn) to 9 Av then end.

    Crazy!!

Southbound E trains are stopping along the F line from 2 Av and end at Church Av. Details at https://t.co/vhZQ2kZ2vb

    Happy foaming.

Wasn't 86 st one of the stations next in line to get renovated to?

When a guy that has a foot in the door with the MTA says “enjoy the Railfan Window on the (B) and the (G)“, and the only railfan window left on the B Division other than the 42 is the 32, then it’s easy to put one and one together.

Sure, there might be air conditioning issues, but a good amount of time in an outdoor yard and two sections of outdoor (remember, Prospect Pk isn’t the last time the (B) goes above ground, the Manhattan Bridge is) is way more than enough. It’s confirmed, and that’s that.

Actually not all of the R62As have been converted to full width cabs yet. Just staring out of the Front window on the (7) train yesterday.

Edit: lol silly me reread and just noticed you said "B division". My apologies.

They can be if any incident happens on the Manhattan Bridge that requires it to temporarily close until whatever issue clears up.

They can also be rerouted to the (F) line or even the (A) and (C) lines. Just seen a (B) train at York St last week and I've took the (D) train to Chambers St before.
