  1. That's what the lady told us last week. Sitting in the drug test room was definitely the hardest part for me but felt good to finally get to 180 at least. I can't wait to get that medical email and be done with this whole process
  2. I’m not at that stage yet but at 180 they said they’ll send out emails for the medical.
  3. Do you go to 180 this Friday as well? I get my second dose on Monday at CVS hopefully they don't give me an issue with peeing in a cup in the meantime lol
  4. I didn’t apply for LIRR so I have no idea and yeah you get all that good stuff like your pass and a pension. I’m getting older so everyday counts at this point lol
  5. LIRR does interviews from what I understand. NYCT does not for this title. LIRR has a good union but NYCT has local 100. Does LIRR allow Track Workers to take promo exams? NYCT does allow Track Workers to promote to multiple titles like Train Operator, Power Distribution or Maintenance Supervisor all having civil service protections while doing so.. without an interview. Does LIRR allow that? If not then I’d stick with NYCT for sure
  6. I would probably say the end of this year depending on how many more vacancies they need. Seems like this list may be moving faster with the way things are looking. If they need this 250 headcount they’ll have to go through the mid 1500’s to make that if I’m doing the math right. Hopefully someone with a list number around that range can chime in
  7. That means right now, there are that many people ahead of you before you’re considered. Not that far away. I was around the cert #900’s last year and now I’m in the 50’s and got the email. You’ll hit those numbers soon. Looks like I’m calling out.. think we’ll be in by March?
  8. Got mine too like an hour ago. Looks like it’s just a drug test. Also asks me to bring the PE. Sucks I work that day lol
  9. If you scroll over next to Track Worker, it says cert (Cert Seq No). That's the placement you want to look at. List numbers are important but it means nothing if you were hired, disqualified or were taken off for not responding which makes the cert numbers important. Those people won't be on the recertification. DCAS in this situation just lets the agency know who was restored and who must not get contacted anymore after the agency tells DCAS. It's kind of confusing at first but its a good indicator of whats going on. List number 16 is cert #1. They were taken off of the list for not responding to NYCT so the agency told DCAS. Person contacted DCAS, got restored and now DCAS recertified and they must be the first to be considered because they have the lowest list number in the recertification and so on. You can basically see who got restored by looking at any list number under like the 900's who now wants to get on.
  10. Contact examsunit@nyct.com Let them know. You’ll need to tell them your full name, exam number, list number and your last 4 SSN and whatever your new contact information is and they’ll respond back eventually. You’re in the 2400’s so you aren’t that far off Marv
  11. I’m in the 50’s. Looks like there’s a lot of people between 1000-1200 that didn’t respond to their emails from what I’m seeing. Basically the agency lets DCAS know who isn’t responding so they take people off the recertification and DCAS lets the agency know who was restored so list number 16 got first dibs and it works it’s way up. I’m 130x and there are only 50 people ahead of me for appointment. That’s not a lot of people surprisingly
  12. I’m pretty sure they would’ve contacted you by now if it was an issue but I guess it doesn’t hurt to ask the person who took your pre-employment email. I’m also curious about the other pre-hire booklet. I did fill it out and save it as a copy just in case.
  13. That means there is a class scheduled for you since you received your PE and filled it out on time. When those classes are I have no idea. Hr told me once more classes are scheduled after you guys I’ll get an email. 100 years later lol
  14. It goes all according to how many classes they schedule and that seems to be random but if I would make a guess, the probability of getting an email this year is pretty good going into 2023. The vaccination requirement may very well speed things up a bit
  15. I’m 130x so up to mine they have people who filled out their PE’s scheduled for classes. Make sure you get confirmation about the change of contact information with them
  16. Thanks Rj My contact information was never updated but now it is. I was suppose to be in the upcoming class but I didn’t complete the PE by the deadline. She said there are no more classes scheduled but will let me know when there are since I’ll be in that batch. Disappointed but whatever. I’m surprised this thread has been dead since they passed my list number
  17. Just realized NYC Transit sent my PE in October to a really old email I used to have even though I told them numerous times to update it. Will I have any issues reinstating my name? Deadline was in October and they didn’t text me with my updated phone number as well. I left NYC in 2019 so I made sure to update them with everything and they still mess it up
  18. If you were never employed by the I wouldn't worry about it. People who received this letter never seemed to get out of the drug testing phase but its definitely something to think about. Lets not scare anyone lol
  19. Looks like early 1000’s got their PE emails. They may push them into classes in December but that’s just a projection.
  20. Capital sounds like fun. Seniority is everything but hopefully I can mini pick into anything that is nights, preferably the Bronx. When do you guys get the commute passes? I'm thinking of just taking the New Haven MNR in from Connecticut. It's great up here in the north so I don't mind the travel. It's really a 40 minute drive at night but I don't think its worth the risk while on probation I take it.
  21. Hope the medical goes all well for you! Silly question guys. For those who don’t have the best vision, do you have to wear safety glasses on the tracks or do you have to wear your own?
  22. Top is $36 next year and from what people have said its about $25 starting. Not bad.
  23. Yes it is. What is your list number? Mine is 130x. I should be in the next batch. Maybe late winter or spring time. By the way, congrats to all of you!! You must be excited!!
  24. How many times on average does a TSS come in and bother you while you’re operating (road)? I think that would bother me the most lol
