It might sound bad, but not everyone get a fair treatment at their job. Plus, with the benefits that the MTA offers, of course I'm going with them! My son needs a good health care plan. That is why I said my loyalty lies with my family.

Remember guys, with any job you are just a number to them & easily replaceable.

This is an advice an old timer gave me in regards to a job. “A job is like a whore, you can Love it, but it won’t love you back”

  2. Hey everyone. First time posting on this forum but have posted on other ones before. Received an email to attend open house for a test at the Hillside facility for Wednesday May23. However, with my current job I’m off Sunday & Monday. Would it be possible to email them back and see if they have a test date available on any Monday? I know my current job won’t give me that day off, so I’ll have to use a sick day

I got 4 wrong on conductor, 3 wrong on operator, & I take the nyct bus exam this month..think I’ll pass on the track worker lol...being that I already applied for 2/3 positions that u can use to promo to operator, & I already passed operator.

Just a random thought. I found the TO exam to be slightly difficult than other exams. I didn't have enough time to record my answers.

Urine.  Looking for the usual controlled substances, narcotics, barbituates, opiates, amphetamines, and thc.  Also looks at alcohol as well.

Last time I was there, they mentioned failure of the drug test prohibits you from applying to an MTA job for 2 years.  Correct me if I am wrong.  Inability to produce an adequate amount of urine (for my experience it was 3oz - 4oz) or leaving before getting discharge papers results in a failure.

How do you know if you failed a drug test? Do you get a letter in the mail stating such thing?

  5. Do you get notified by letter in the mail of your drug test result?

I was told I should be expecting something in the mail soon, however, she wasn't able to tell me what the letter will say.

This doesn't sound good.. And NO, I don't do any drugs
