Got the letter for pre employment today. Have to go November 4.. My list # is in the 1700s

My girl received her letter a few days ago to show up on Monday for the medical but she will be putting it on hold for personal reasons.. my list number is in the 1700s range. Hopefully I should get it soon. Will advise when I receive the letter

I can confirm the last appointed. That's me [emoji1] . I know there are one or 2 people with list numbers above me, but they are going to Day 10.

DCAS updated their system. Last eligible certified is list # 1973 and last list # appointed is 845

As of today, according to DCAS, the last eligible certified is list # 1024. With my list # in the 1700s, what's an educated guess before they reach me. Am I looking at about 6-12 more months?

Not saying blood pressure is good or bad but MTA doesn't follow DOT regulations they follow their own. For example, as per DOT you need atleast 10 hrs of rest after your shift for MTA it's 8.

I just checked my blood pressure and its 138/87. That should not disqualify me right? I already have my CDL & when I went to the doctor to do the medical they said it has to be under 140/90 for DOT regulations..

With the mta shutting down the L train for 18 months, will they want to hire more bus operators quickly because they will be using more shuttle bus services?

Does anyone know what list # they are up to in beginning the employment process? I know dcas is saying they are up to list # 1024 , but sometimes that information is not up to date.

It moves pretty quick, I received my 1st letter on March 12 (list number under 100) and was hired April 4th.

What does the oral part consist of? Is it like the BOSS exam for bus operators?

How can we protest by mail if we don't have access to the test booklets to review the questions?

How does the process works when they first call you?

Can everything be done in one day or does it take a few days?

Want to know because I just got a new job and it won't be a good look if I start using my sick days right away..

I am not familiar with a non-CDL license that requires a DOT physical. That's a new one for me. As far as amending your license, unless its required by this private company I wouldn't. You will need a Class B with A3 exemption along with Air Brakes and Passenger (P) endorsement. Just to be clear, air brakes is not an endorsement its actually a class B without the restriction. Perhaps someone else can offer more insight a DOT Physical for a regular license.
