  1. They want every job since high school. No resume has every job you've ever held since hs.
  2. So I just found out that you can get a copy of all the jobs you've held through the SS but itc takes 120 days to get it. To those who did the first paperwork how were you able to remember all the dates and jobs?
  3. I received a automated message telling me to respond to their email if im still interested in the TO position. Ive received no email from them. Do they leave the voicemail and then email later? Edit: I just got the email. So the April class is full already? So they are filling for May. I'm 34xx. The end of May I have a trip planned so i'm debating if I should delay this or go bc most likely if im called it wont be until after my trip.
  4. They will extend it. Ill be shocked if they don't. Even in normal times the last 2 exams were extended and went into 10k territory I believe. Here we lost a year and a half when they didnt hire at all due to Covid and they are short.
  5. Anyone hear anything about the next pre-employment class? Thanks!
  6. 349x Edit: For those already on the road what if you need to use the bathroom? Im assuming if you're in the middle of a run you're stuck but once you reach the last stop can go go quickly? Are there bathrooms in the station just for employees? Thanks!
  7. I am on a cpap. From what ive seen on these forums you need a letter from your doctor and clinical notes showing that you use the machine. I havent been called yet but I plan on getting a note and clinical notes from my dr before I get called.
  8. If you are already using a cpap machine they wont put you on medical hold. You need a letter from your dr.
  9. That I know. Im just curious as to how many people they hire. Before I started this I never thought they would need this many TO's.
  10. To the vets who work for transit about how many TOs work for the MTA? Do they purposely over hire knowing that some will fail yard school?
  11. Look back at previous tests. It was extended several times. Whenever something out of the ordinary happens like the 08 financial crash or on our case covid they extend the list. They still need too many TOs to wait 4 years between now and when the tests are graded.
  12. I hope you're right. Getting this would be life changing for me and my family.
  13. Anyone know what number they are up to for pre-employment? I'm 34xx
  14. With how short they are that makes no sense. It takes 3 to 4 years to even get a new list together after announcing the job, taking applications, giving test and grading test.
  15. Rough estimate as to how many a lot is? I'm at 34xx. Starting to think I'll miss out before the list expires.
  16. Plus it takes a few years between opening applications, getting them, setting up testing, taking testing, scoring testing, etc. Ive seen numerous train alerts near me saying "we are running as many trains as we can with the staff we have". They don't have time to wait years for testing to be done.
  17. Considering how everytime something serious has happened (08 crash) they always extended the list I'll be shocked if its not extended by at least a year. Add on with how short they are I don't think they have a choice but to extend it.
  18. There was an issue with some of the questions. I don't have the letter anymore but I wrote down the new number. So which number do they follow list or certified? If list then what is the certified number for?
  19. Which number do we go by? My original was 34xx. Then I received a letter saying new number is 28xx. My certification number is currently 24xx.
  20. My number is 23xx and I've not heard anything. None of my contact info has changed. What do I do?
  21. Have you seen this? https://www.nydailynews.com/new-york/ny-mta-retirees-subway-shortage-20210926-sbevdxwfhfgvxjfezeerzx5oqm-story.html If its that bad why can't they increase the number of TOs in school yard?
