  1. Considering that snow is expected to be around through tomorrow and that the artics dont have chains, it is unlikely they will send them out. The reduced schedule accomodates artics being grounded so why use them and risk getting them stuck?
  2. Does anyone know if the snow loans will be out again today (02/02/2021) and if artics will remain grounded?
  3. What is with that? Why does bus time have issues in the snow. Or in some cases, the map wont work but the mobile site shows arrivals for stops.
  4. I am guessing buses will be on a 20% reduction service If I am not mistaken?
  5. Is Bus service expected to run throughout the storm (20% reduced likely) or will it be suspended? What would cause a suspension of bus service which is likely a last resort as it will strand countless amounts of people.
  6. Excellent to see the loans Monday and tuesday. Snow is also expected until Noon tuesday if not later. Some forecasts say into Tuesday Evening.
  7. You can only track buses when they are ona route. And yes, I do intend to go out in the snowstorm to film them.
  8. Correct. About 12 2011s have already been sent ot WF. Seems a little short considering it was 20-25 in December. Are there any plans to transfer more loans to WF?
  9. And all day monday and likely tuesday as well. In december, service was cut as well and WF had the double the amount of loans. Well, then again, they have today to secure more loans if necessary.
  10. Have there been any more snow loan transfers or is this it? WF seems a little short if you ask me but you never know.
  11. I see. My guess would be that the service reduction would be an indication of whether loans are being used or not. Artics being grounded will cause a shortage which is why the service is reduced.
  12. Great to know. Im guessing they didnt mention when the artics were going to be grounded until. Hopefully monday and tuesday both bring loans.
  13. Service curtailment is usually as a result of a fleet shortage caused by artics being grounded. Wouldnt surprise me if that means the loans are out Monday and Tuesday especially considering that the snow is expected to continue well in to Tuesday. Is your source of service curtailment straight from the MTA?
  14. What days is service said to be curtailed? What days will the snow loans be out?
  15. From what I am hearing, Snow is expected from sunday night until tuesday afternoon with a total of 6-10 inches. Doesnt that look like the loans will stay for two days like last. Based on timing, the storm looks like it will stay for a longer duration than last time, and then the loans stayed for 2 days. Even the Bronx kept their loans through mid afternoon on the second day.
  16. I have moved my question to the random thoughts thread but dont think you can shout me into silence with you capital letters and exclamation points. I did read your first response and found it quite obnoxious and responded accordingly so dont tell me I dont read.
  17. Does the MTA have a plan yet regarding the snow and what days artics will be grounded?
  18. Be helpful, provide info or say nothing. Its that simple. You did neither of the first two things, so why are you saying anything.
  19. Thanks for the info. By any chance do you know what days the loans will be out? I know monday is a given but do you have info regarding how long the artics intend on being grounded?
  20. MV may not end up loaning to WF then. Do you know what days the artics will be grounded other than monday?
  21. I heard that 6697-6704 went from MV to WF and 6849-6854 from QV to WF. Can anyone confirm that?
  22. First, What days will the artics be replacing the standards. I am guessing monday and tuesday are a given but is there any info about what the plan is? Second, QV may be looking to pernamently transfer the 4300s they have. 4395 has also been transferred and was seen on the Bx9 earlier today.
