  1. If you can call them and ask why you received a second preemployment letter. It could of been sent in error.
  2. It means your list number is now in MTA hands and you should receive a letter when they reach your number...good luck
  3. The part I dislike the most is they collect all your personal documents and you get no job lmao...I hope they shred ppl documents. They don’t want copies either smh they make u bring all originals and turn around and make copies..sick...just in case make sure you don’t have no parking tickets or pending court cases because they will turn you around ASAP...Also be prepared to know everything you been doing since you turned 18 yrs old...they want you to put everything on application and no gaps...speaking from experience...
  4. The wait game is real and if you never processed before they say ur drug test is good for 90 days but in my opinion they pick and choose who they wanna bring back for a second lab as they call it...lol Good luck to all candidates whom have a low list number...Also when you call they tell you whatever they think u wanna hear to get you off the phone. Your best option is checking your mailbox/email on a regular basis and be prepared when you get the news. MTA is just so damn competitive it makes no sense. Patience is the key so don’t wreck your brains...😂Getting that envelope is so exciting
  5. @nickynick86 can u tell me what does and investment license have to do with MTA? Reason being I see so many post and some are patient and some are over the top. MTA has a way of getting potential candidates excited and it is all in vain. They call so many ppl down to HQ make them fill out all that paperwork do drug test and say wait for an email for medical..hahaha well if they are not up to your list number it will take forever for you to get called for ME. In my opinion this is their process...they call let’s say 50 candidates for PE and at this time nobody knows who will fail drug test. So that just creates a list of next come next served. Meaning we will start preparing candidates just in case someone falls out of the cue. Between drug test and medical hold you just don’t know how many ppl they need to fill a class. Bottom line the process is ridiculous. I went through the bs last year and it was all in vain. All I can say to everyone it’s nice to anticipate working with MTA but don’t hold your breath and live your life.
  6. Please note that sometimes MTA does not send out letter for PE in order.
  7. What is your list number? And yes that means they have your name on the list to call you when they reach your number...Good Luck
  8. Top pay is 6 years according to preemployment appointment 10/5 last year. Don’t think it changed in a few months ijs
  9. 4 years from when list was established (2/14/18-2/14/22) according to DCAS.
  10. Lol ikr and no I did not call because calling them is like calling yourself..I figured it wasn’t meant to be...it is just sad the way they waste people time. Oh well on to the next. We live and we learn. Regardless to what others in this forum have to say when dealing with MTA never get your hopes up until you are all the way through. So many different opinions and assumptions in this forum. Lol...For all that have high list numbers tuck this job out of your mind. In my opinion MTA should of known better than to allow all these applicants to even take this test in the first place. It’s the City and it’s is and always will be about money; now OPA for more money lmao too much...
  11. I have a question for all whom took the OPA...is English you guys first language? Do you speak English properly? I’m trying to understand Oral Proficiency Assessment. Now I know this says OPI (same shit lol... An Oral Proficiency Interview (OPI) is a standardized, global assessment of functional speaking ability. Taking the form of a conversation between the tester and test-taker, the test measures how well a person speaks a language by assessing their performance of a range of language tasks against specified criteria. This could be the key to OPA
  12. If I was dirty do you think I would of did a drug test and if I was dirty I would of received a disqualification letter...let us not be silly here smh n lmao #really
  13. That is just how they do things they call a bunch of people as back up and if they are not needed the hell with them lmao...they skip people because of the 1 n 3 rule...so many people have different opinions on when this system is used but it’s used for all sectors of civil service exams
  14. BS=Bullshit And it entailed me going for preemployment and taking 2 drug test to never get called for medical. Ugh so frustrating how they wasted my time along with several others...so all I’m saying is don’t count your lucky stars until you have completed medical and they have given you a start date. Mofo MTA 👎🏾 Lol
  15. The next step is either OPA or preemployment invitation...and calm done because the process is ridiculous so don’t over think this situation..I just finished going through this bs and it was a waste of my time...(was on 8094 list); as well as this one ugh
  16. Too many people on this list smh 31,852 😳 #really. List supposedly expire 2/14/22 hahaha.
  17. Your list number is low so why are you worrying..I feel a lot of the recent post since the list was posted are insane. All candidates with low list numbers should not be complaining because they will have a better chance then those with high list numbers. You for one and several others have a better chance than many.
  18. Anything is possible but you cannot bank on it...just have a lot of patience. Those scoring over 100 has Veterans credit or etc....if the list is frozen then that is what it is FROZEN ugh..regardless to the score
  19. I hope you are not surprised...8094 just expired and so many ppl was bs...many people was called for preemployment and took multiple drug test and it was all for nothing. They even let the lady complete her medical to tell her there are no vacancies...so don’t be too surprised with MTA...Another freeze just like the last Exam was on freeze for 3 years....I know the feeling cause I’m one of these people that my time was wasted lol...so continue life as you see fit and keep up with your mail is all you can do with these open competitive exams.
  20. I figure if they had a cut off then more people would get a chance. I think 3xxx is a bit short but after 10xxx like shut this down. Just a tactic for money and if u don’t score high then just forget about it. I also think the idea of 70% as a score to pass is a joke...holding up list space. I think after 85% people should not be on any list because there is no chance in h*** they will get called for the actual title ;they may get another offer. With this list being so long it may exceed 4 years especially if they don’t start calling off the list ASAP. Also understand DCAS is no longer in charge of MTA exams smfh
  21. The problem is the way in which they create list numbers (by social security #). From my understanding they take the last 5 digits and make them first. Also remember they do the 1 n 3 rule as well. With all the folks on this list omg don’t hold your breath. I think if they were smart they would not allow so many people to apply. There should of been a cut off. But when it comes down to it; it’s all about the money so MTA cleaned up on this exam. 10 different test schedules. They made over a million with this test alone. Now their cleaning up again by giving OPA lol...With all these folks let’s see if this list exhaust in 4 years 🤔 ridiculous 😂😂
