  1. Hmmm 🤔 So candidates from exam #9604 are training now? That's what it looks like from the 9604 thread. The letter/email that was sent to me with my 3×× list number stated that canvassing would start in October for exam #9618. I'll try to call them tomorrow and get a definite answer so I'll know when i should move back to NYC.
  2. When do you think the 300s will get called? Canvassing has started this month i believe. I'm in Los Angeles now.... I Need to know when should i move back. I'm not missing out on this opportunity!
  3. I'll go ahead and email them. What information should i include? I would switch my license over Definitely... im just hoping my having my CDL for 10 years in California would be enough. I'm still here now... I briefly moved to NYC in April 2019 and moved back to Los Angeles January 2020.
  4. I really hope this is true.... if it is then i can start getting excited cause I'm list 3**
  5. Yea but does it have to be valid for "3 years in NYC" before you can be appointed bus operator? That's what I'm trying to find out 😊
  6. MTA needs to get rid of that 3 Years NYC license rule man. As long as you've had your CDL for 3+ years.... it shouldn't matter which State it was in smh. Damn.... 😔
  7. I'm list 3xx. I know I'm gonna have to turn it down probably twice cause i left NYC during the pandemic early 2020 and i didn't even have my NY license for a year (got it April2019). Damn. Im coming back to NY early next year. So i won't get in with NYCTA till 2025
  8. Interesting news. I got email just now saying the list will be established in a few weeks. Plus that there is an immediate need for bus operators and if you haven't done so you should get your CDL asap. But no mention of the 3 year rule! I'm soo hoping that since they desperately need drivers that they will waved that 3 year NYC license rule. 🤞🏾🤞🏾
  9. I don't think the list has been established yet... I know i passed from the green answer sheet paper that was giving for us to fill in. But i don't see my name when i typed it in on the website you provided. I really hope i passed.
  10. That two year time frame works for me. I moved to NYC last May and left in December. I'm coming back February 2021 so hopefully by the time I get called ( if i passed) itll be closer to 2024. ( gotta have your NYC license for 3 years prior to Bus Operator pre employment)
  11. How would i be good with the requirements if I've had my NYC CDL for less than 3 years???
  12. Good thing also is within the next year or so while the list gets ready. The old buses will start to faze out and it'll be mostly new buses we'll be driving. So that's the brightside I'm looking at in terms of the loooonng wait lol #NewBusSmell
  13. Exactly! I just moved to NYC and changed my CDL over in April. I'm hoping the next 1-2 Years while MTA gets the #9618 list ready that they'll change that "3 years NYC license rule" or I'm gonna be assed out. Which would suck cause i got a 94 percent on my test and I'm sure i passed the BOSS exam but we'll see....
  14. It mentions it in the official exam notice in "requirements" sections. 😔 I looked it up today... mta.info or something like that.
  15. I'm also worried about the having to have your license for "3 Years in NYC" requirement for MTA Bus. I just moved to NYC in April of this year. So idk if it's even worth it taking the MTA Bus exam??? I took the TA one yesterday so oh well with that. I thought that requirement changed.... but looking at the MTA Bus posting, it's still a requirement. Any tips or advice?? This sucks.... I really want to become an NYCTA Bus Operator.
  16. Thank You Young!! Yes i do have my CDL with the endorsements. I'm in BedStuy Brooklyn for now. I would love to find other opportunities with full size buses.... I'm really like whatever on paratransit but i liked the $20hr part.
  17. Hahah yea the memory caught me off guard too.... I went over it back n forth for the 10mins then once the 10 was up, my mind went BLANK!!! Ugh.... The rest of the test was abit of challenge for me but all n all i think i did OK. The Map questions and the report questions were abit tough too. Like you said... OUCH!! lol I just moved here from Los Angeles too. Training now for paratransit... not the greatest but it's a job to tie me over till i get on with NYCTA. Ima pay the $68 tonight for MTA Bus tonight.
