  1. Wished my SS number was different, haha. I guess from the 1200 - 2000 range is all 96.7s, list number in the 18## range so I have a bit of a wait. The best thing to do is to just carry on with your daily lives until you get that call. Good luck to everyone that is going through the process right now, see you soon!
  2. Is it true that OT starts after your regular 8 hour shift? I work a 9-5 Monday - Friday right now and OT starts after to make 40 hours in a work week.
  3. Why does Conductors whom are on probation have to watch out for voluntary OT otherwise they will get in trouble? Like I said before on my perviously post, Im young with not too many responsibilities. I would love to do the most OT that I can while still watching my health and sleep.
  4. I appreciate all the good information I've been getting from this forum. List number 18** and I think I will be called late this year or early next year. I'm in a bit of a dilemma though, I currently live in CT Stratford and was concerned about the schedule of a conductor considering that I travel a long way. Does anybody know the different schedules you can possibly have throughout the conductor position, you know 9-5, 3-11, etc? Also since I'm coming from Stratford, what division should I choose if given the opportunity to pick since I would be making the commute into Grand Central? Thank you all
  5. Just curious, maybe you guys can help me out with these questions What would make MTA not consider you as a candidate? What are the remaining steps after PE? I'm currently still waiting to receive my first PE letter, list number in the #1800 range In your opinion what division allows you to get the most OT? I'm 23 years old with no kids or big responsibilities, hoping to do tons of OT over my first couple of years
  6. I have not gotten a single pre-employment letter in the mail yet. Spoke to someone recently from the exam unit and they said pre-employment letters went out low 1500s as of now
  7. That's a very high number! where did you get that number from if you don't mind me asking?
  8. List number 18**, on an average how often is a class and how many trainees per class? Just trying to gauge when I will be called.
  9. Thank you, I've made all the necessary changes with my phone number. Patently the PE letter!
  10. Hi, I’m new to this forum but was hoping to get some insight on a couple of things. My list number is 18** and I've already passed my Opal. My questions are a followed: When should I be notified to go in for my PE? I have yet to do a single one, on this forum I’m reading about people going in 3 or 4 times. What type of notifications would I be receiving about the PE? Is it Email, Postal mail or phone call? I’ve recently changed my number a few months ago but forgot to inform MTA about the change. Please help me with these questions, I would have hated to miss a call from the MTA due to a changed number.
