Thanks for sharing this information.
I didn't know that work on 6th Avenue CBTC has already started.
This information shows that it is not guaranteed that QBL will keep all 10 car r160's, since QBL CBTC will be compatible with other NTT'S.
Also, this information shows that Broadway will get the r46's from Jamaica until the r211's and once the r211's enter service Broadway will most likely get the r68's from Concourse and CI.
Additionally, I wouldn't rule out the possibility that once CBTC is complete, the C will wind up with ALL 10 car r179 plus 10 car r160's, while the A becomes 100% r211's and the G gets ALL the 8 car r179's from the C plus a few r179's from ENY.
Yes, That means Broadway will have Last Pre-NTTs Train when CBTC in 6th Avenue and 8th Avenue are Complete. R211s will came in Q3-Q4 2020

It's costly that's the problem, if it were R32's are full length R179's and R160's then it'll be easier.
Y'all gotta understand that the R32's on the are f**king terrible. Hot cars were rampant this summer. Now that they don't want R46's on the , the only choice is to put the R32's back on the and make the 100% R179's.
As for the loosing it's R32's I hope it's just a rumor. As much as the is a part time line, there's too many flaws that will come with it. They're better off keeping the R32's on the (A). They're doing fine on it.
Just because I shared the info, doesn't mean I agree with it.
The only thing I agree with is the getting the R32's back since it's 90% outdoors and they were maintained better.
are R179s replacing all R32s? because I Want all R32s Scrapped as well.

While the last r179 cars are being delivered, the r42's are being retired and the fleet swaps between r46's from Jamaica and r160's from Coney Island are starting to happen.
In the meantime, Happy New year's.
Like I Said Before, Those were confirmed is to be CBTC testing two weeks ago. Not a transfer, yet until CBTC Testing is Passed and Completed.

First pair of 40 Phase I R-32 pairs being retired as well. It was 3454/55 sometime first week of December. It has been stripped as will the rest of the MK R-42's. Bye bye to Jersey this spring!Your 3878/79 also now officially retired as well. Previously stripped out as previously noted.
That's it so far. Many more coming O/S January and February (maybe March?) as well. Keep them eyes open!!!
8 MK R-42's for Work Service to Coney Island and 8 others for 207 Street.
I Thought they might be reefed

That's probably only the pilot train, I doubt any 211s exist yet outside of the pilot train. Considering the previous two B div NTT (160 and 179) took a year to complete testing before entering service I wouldn't hold my breath on the 211 pilot train entering passenger service in 2020.
R211s should be enter the service in 2021 and Replace these r46s and R32s.

I think Andy Byford was disappointed, I do believe he put on a show for the media because deep down inside he knows there is little hope at this point.
Honestly. Let's be realistic. Enough with the contractors. Until they make drastic cuts on service including long term suspensions to sit there and get the work done it will never work. They haven't proven otherwise. They won't.
7 line has 20 year old equipment now. Parts of the flushing line are going on 100 years old. 22 stations terminal to terminal. Over a billion dollars invested. It really doesn't run a billion dollars better than it did before. Major improvement was the additional capacity of the R142a/188 (whatever you want to call it ) over the R62a. Yes I'm aware you can run a extra service because the run time is shorter now.
Doesn't look reassuring when you have multi billion dollar capital program but the contractor never tested for snow accumulation.
These Elevated Lines that Runs Flushing Line and Astoria Line needs to be Demolished and Rebuilt because it is Crumbling very badly.

Yes, but your proposed lines would end up being WAY too long.
If I were you, I’d rather build into parts of the desert, with integrated bus service picking up the gaps. For example, I’d just extend the to Springfield Blvd, and have increased Q43 bus service pick up the slack from there to Little Neck Pkwy and eventually, 268th Street. Little Neck Pkwy service can be built later.
For the extension, I actually proposed 3-track extension to 254th Street at the county border via Northern Blvd. For my revised plan, rather than building out to 254th Street, I am proposing shortening the extension by 1 mile, terminating the line at Springfield Blvd and Northern Blvd in Bayside. Local service would terminate at 162nd Street and express service would run local from 162nd Street to Springfield. I would recommend you look into something similar.
I am against the going to Floral Park. The line is already long and unreliable enough, and making it even longer would add fuel to fire. It should be removed from Queens Blvd entirely.
The extension is okay.
Also, any extension of the and in Brooklyn (or anywhere) would be impractical without dealing with Rogers Junction.
I Prefer and Would Love to see NYC Subway Lines to be Long, But I Respect your Opinion.
Why to remove Line from QBL?0 -

I have a feeling that the line at the very least will still be using 46's past Dec 23rd. Only 2 and a half sets of out like what 45? sets of R46s have been transferred so far and were already at December 9th. They can probably only transfer like 1 or 2 sets a day at most? Yea CBTC will only be starting on the express tracks but service disruptions and G.O's...
Exactly and also i agree with you and @RR503
