see to us of the 12/26/2021 induction, the blue paper said the virtual orientation was the 27th and in person at the school was the 28th. But when we went there they told us our induction date was actually Sunday the 26, and that was our RDO. So basically our induction started with an RDO. Very confusing...

I have never been put on board during XL. I fell to the board a few times but I always had a job by the time I went to sign in. Mmh VR I dunno. You don't get fixed rdos and tour so I dunno.

That's lucky that you live in Queens! I got XL B3 most of last pick too and the guy never came back. I will have TF RDOs in XL this time and I have FS now in xx lol so Im doing the opposite of what you did. Yes before every pick you have to put in a preference sheet. But they might still change your RDOs even if you do. In XL they can't.

out of curiosity, why did you bid on a job that you didn't know what it was ? Seems very risky. Hopefully you live in Queens.

I have the Kaka bag so I never had any problems.

They mean no backpack with wheels. Backpack are fine. Most people get Kaka bags (I did) cuz you can cover the straps. But you can have a regular backpack Just don't carry it on your back when crossing the tracks.

Wow first positive comment! When you're having a hard day at work now you can think of the one month off a year you can take in 2 years!

A spread them out. One in January one in May. I think if you pick vacation days you don't have to call it in like AvA. It's fixed days. I wasn't sure how to know which days were available to pick tho.

In road posting you can end at a different location. I've posted on jobs that started at CCY and cleared at stillwell, or started at Pitkin and ended at 207th. And they didn't even want to pay me deadhead...eventually I got it after I pulled out the bulletin. I had one job in YX that started at Broad and ended at ENY too.

There are some permanents too just not that many in this first bids sheet.

You're always in the yard when you're in the classroom part of the training. After about 3 months you won't be in classrooms anymore. The classrooms are in the yards.
