That was my point and i can definitely see some yard who gets them will mixed them if they have both A’s and T’s which kind of gives you the best of both on one train set.
Oh sorry, i was talking about the fact that there will be 2 10 car R211T’s that can be split into 4 sets (5 cars each) if you mix them with R211A’s. If option 2 is the T type they could really mix a lot of the A’s with T’s instead of just all 10 cars being one type.
Did anyone see the video on IG of an R211SIR connected to the R211T(softshell) moving around in CI. I can see later R211T’s split into mixed 5/5 with R211A’s making that 2 train set into 4.
I would agree..Very likely to see non passenger runs for a while before service again. Just dream forward the base order will be here by the end of summer at the rate they are building them.
ENY has sent at least 3 sets of R179’s to Pitkin/207 already. While CI uses more R68/68A’s from the B on weekends for the N/Q. Of course the MTA does not care about rollsigns just rolling stock that can run.
Oh really,WoW…. so it will be some time if the T’s are even a go or no. I have a feeling that Jamaica will only want R211T’s if just a’s they will keep their 160’s.
The first order of R211A’s are for the A/C lines and the R211S for SIRT this is all part of one order. Option 1 will depended on the outcome of R211T test.
