the R46’s won’t be retiring anytime soon, They will be OOS just when there’s enough and stable R211’s in service they will be put into long storage like the R32’s were.

Just keep this in mind people…the MTA President has already announced there will be no changes to service after the manhattan congestion pricing starts. He went on a late morning tv new program and said there’s plenty off room in the system for more people with additional service than what’s running now.
It’s just not a priority at this time maybe after the order is complete the updates can be done but for now the MTA priority is having new trains just run.
Access to C.I. Yard is limited after flood issues so the is running local on Brooklyn while the express tracks are being used for storage. I guess all the work that was done to protect the yard from floods didn’t work.
Also non NTT trains are using Bluetooth to send data so there could an OOS train sitting somewhere that the clocks are picking up saying its coming but it’s not
