  1. Oh yeah, you're right i forgot to mention i based this off what I saw in vanshnookenraggen's site lol. Since my version of this is just a short connection, kinda like a brooklyn version of the 21 st connection in queens, it shouldnt cost too much, even with inflated prices. I do think this could be worth it since with just a short tunnel, the fulton st line and the rockaways can gain a lot better service than what they have right now.
  2. An idea I have is building a short tunnel connection in Downtown Brooklyn, from the Montague St tunnel west of Court St to the outermost tracks at Hoyt-Schermerhorn. To keep it brief, This will allow trains to extend to Euclid avenue via Fulton Local, while trains can run Fulton Express and be extended to Lefferts Blvd, all while dedicating more trains to the Rockaways.
  3. Just saw it and omg its the best crossover ever lol.
  4. I feel like this stems from the wikipedia page where it basically says the r211 has lower capacity than r160's. R211: 30 seats, 210 standing per car = 240 total vs R160: 42 seating, 198 standing (A car) = 240 total 44 seating, 202 standing (B car) = 246 total Obvious issue is, the R211 capacity number isn't sourced at all so some random foamer couldve forged a random but seemingly realistic number and pass it as a fact. This was honestly something i was wondering about for a long time, whats the official passenger capacity of the R211? Because i tried to look for a reliable source for it but couldnt find one.
  5. ooooooo sht here we go lmfao. This is one of the people that's overly obsessed with R211 car assignments that I mentioned in a previous post lol. If you dare to suggest that r211 are going to Jamaica yard, then its "Treacherous f**kery" to these people. This specific person also made a "presentation" about the case of bringing back and brown and it was also pretty bad so yeah...
  6. Dam that interlocking changed so much that it looks like a completely different one lol. I've passed by that interlocking many times when going to and from college and I remember seeing a lot of very old and almost rotting sleepers in that area. Nice that they rebuilt it. I also remember riding across these tracks before so the will have to use those new switches that are built underground closer to Church Avenue.
  7. I mean there is Queenslink which as you said, combines a park and subway option for the RBB, which has decent political and community backing. Still sad Adams went for the park only but the funding is only for a small part of the ROW, though I don't think construction even started yet so there's still some hope.
  8. Oh dear, dont get me started on the r211 assignment arguments in the youtube comments. The kids there are even crazier about this lmfao. Atleast the conversations here are more tame in my opinion but i agree, its best to just wait and see what happens to r211s within the next few years.
  9. I noticed all three stations seems to have extra white spaces beyond the platforms just for the ancillary and entrances for some. I remember reading something on how the mta built the phase 1 stations with overly long station caverns or station boxes (like 1000 to 1100ft long or something), which contributed to the high price tag. Is there a good reason for these giant spaces? Because if not, then it seems like they're just repeating the same mistakes and wondering why the price tag is so high imo.
  10. I think most, if not all stations already has them. I saw the dark mode screens at Atlantic-Barclays but also at 25 Ave on the today.
  11. Oh Awesome! The features I was excited for has finally been added. I've seen those kinds of cool diagrams in many Asian metro systems (mainly China and Japan) so its exciting to see them in NYC too.
  12. Speaking of which, the Paris metro MF88's also sound somewhat similar to the R211 propulsion to me.
  13. Do you guys remember the first time we saw a pic of the r211 in like 2017 or 2018 or something where it was in kawasaki's hyogo factory in japan? I wonder what happened to it. The car number was 4256 according to the pictures at the time.
