    SI Express Bus Plan Out!

I definitely agree the people at the top who make the decisions aren’t always thoughtful the X prefix should stay the number sequence is there “reconfiguring the network” doesn’t mean you have to rebrand the service What they need to be worrying about is the full integration and route swaps between NYCT & MTA Bus to reduce running times from the depot to the first stop and the unnecessary mileage accumulated on these buses there’s going to be a lot of upheaval But that’s the true definition of “reconfiguring the network” not worrying about changing a route prefix from X to SIM

Breaking News: Will M'ville Depot be forced closed?

In reference to what was stated about the land on 1st Avenue which stretches from E 38th-E 41st streets it use to be a ConEd power plant as per this article http://www.nytimes.com/2013/08/20/nyregion/prime-lot-empty-for-years-yes-this-is-manhattan.html don’t know how the City or the MTA missed this opportunity back in 2000

    SI Express Bus Plan Out!

looks as if they’re getting ready to intergrate NYCT into MTA Bus I thought it was supposed to be the other way around I dislike the Borough designation the X designation stands out denoting it as an express bus route and there is a wide range of numbers that they can possible use Ex. X1-X92 I remember when the West Side Depot now MJQ had the X91 X92

    B/O 4600 Hiring Process

Actually Bus Operator exam 4600 is TA which is Brooklyn,Queens, and Staten Island Division the only TA depot in Manhattan was 126th st which is closed now here is the deal if you are TWU local 100 this where it gets confusing you are allowed to pick into OA depots when the GP is held and vice versa for OA operators if you decide during training that you want to transfer to Queens or Staten Island you would be represented by ATU 1056 Queens and ATU 726 Staten Island and you're there until you retire

    B/O 4600 Hiring Process

if you aren't quite sure the best way to go about it would be to call your old employer(s) ask for HR and ask to speak to someone about employment verification

    B/O 4600 Hiring Process

They implemented this rule in March whereas if there is a suspension on your abstract you won't go forward with pre-employment until the suspension falls off of the abstract in prior years this wasn't an issue this only pertains to Buses and not Subways from my understanding

    new B6 service pattern

Very illogical move #1 all East New York bound Limited buses went local after Rockaway Parkway Station I still want to know what was the rationale behind this and why wasn't there any public hearings in regards to scaling back/curtailing Limited stop service
