I dont get it, i thought you said you had a Sony DSLR and P&S? How many cameras do you have. Also the "lens" doesn't do the magic for you but what you do to the camera is what you get.

Everything is on you. If you want the cam to do the work, use Auto.. Nothing else is gonna do it.. Plus maintenance and keeping the lens clean(Unlike some shots ive seen) is whats important..

Gonna save up for a ZLR(The "Advanced P&S" DSLR like)/DSLR, so i can get by summer time!

Hey im planning on getting a DSLR or DSLR based camera this summer/Fall time so what? Even tho i got my Kodak in September of 2009.. I wanna get something better!

Of course Daniel you also need to take care of your camera and not get it dirty and stuff. Keep it clean and maintain it. And play with it to get Better shots, its not about getting a camera similar to someone. You gotta play with it in a good way. And do other stuff with the cam instead of including CPW in every shots you take, Becuz every photo topic i see such as an IRT topic, you include the CPW in it.. Which is getting REAL old bro..

My camera does have manual settings and manual ISO.

If you like P&S you should be getting a CAM with manual settings not just WB.. Theres more to WB and ISO you know!

If you dont know how to Take a snap shot of your desktop:

 

Click on "PrtSc- SysRq" on keyboard, open up a Paint program, such as Microsoft Paint, and paste image ether via Edit Menu> Paste, or keyboard "Ctrl-V" then save and upload to one of the above sites

 

Users of Mac, Linux, Ubuntu, or other OS use google;)

Well for daytime shots i use ISO200 (Or ISO100 to darken it a bit), and then f/ 8.0 for lots of light(Sun mostly), f 4.8 for a bit of both and f 2.8 for a lot of light but only if the area has low light a bit.

And of course 1/100+ depnding on which f/ i use..

@KR/Yuki, why did you guys took a snap shot of the desktop instead of photo. Nice overall!

If you have an old desktop and are willing to convert to a server, you can manage it right from home without it costing you a dime. (Except the hdd is that needs upgrading)

 

If not, you can always go with webhosting plans, (I use Hosting24) where you can just install gallery software and manage your pics from there.

Ya, managing a server may not be easy.. Plus servers are mainly used for more then 1 pcs to communicate. (Unless hes got the IT skills for it) Unless he backs up his photos to another HD or System Unit then hes good.

You will need to google to see if theres any..

You have a few choices...

-Fine a better Image Hosting company

-Pay up for Premium service, more bandwidth, Extra Storage, etc. (Photobucket has it)

-Delete or move your photos. Or create a new account with another email/User name

-Apply for Free or low cost Web Hosting, which you can store your images online on your own web host and even create a website gallery.

Like my website, i have a Wallpaper Gallery which I have photos stored on my server.. And show to others. Even tho I pay for my server and domain.. (Which included main website(forum), gallery, blog)

*Note that if you buy a server, and want to create a Website Gallery, you will need a Sub-Domain/Domain

Sub- yourwebsitename.abc123.com (Free or cost)

Domain- yourwebsitename.com (Cost Money, /yr, unless you get free domain like .cc or .tk)

Hey guys, for the last few weeks I've been going back and forth about which camera I should by. Starting this new site (TrainZone.net) I'm going to seriously need to upgrade from the iphone and advance film P&S cam that I have.

 

So after weeks of research, I've decided to buy the Nikon D90!

 

This thing is amazing! I'm not going to go into the specifics of the cam right now, because google is your friend, and a click away (if you want to know anything about it) However, that's the cam for me. I'm buying it in Jan.2010...cant wait.

 

Question, What camera do you guys use, and what do you love about it...do you want to upgrade, and to what and why?

 

Also, any D90 owners, chime in on how you like your cam, I would love to hear from the horses mouth.

You must be doing the wrong thing. The higher the ISO the more sensitive the camera will be to light.

well i keep the aperture at f/2.8 around and shutter speed at 1/13 , 1/15 or 1/10 and ISO at 200, so my pics come out well.. With no noise..

I dunno if all cameras are the same, my last cam i had ISO at 100 and it was working well too

Have the ISO at 400 for the subway. I see you have an 800 option so you should try that as well. As for settings, don't use sports mode as that mode relies on good lighting conditions, from what I've heard. 800 is a bit much for outdoor cloudy pics. I generally use 200 for outdoor pictures, and either 200 or 400 if it's a cloudy day. Also, if your pics are coming out blurry then make sure they aren't unfocused and to keep your camera more still (unless you mean only the subject is blurred and not the entire picture).

I use 200 and mine comes out well. 400 for me is a bit dark unless shutter speed is down with rapture..

Standing is an even worse problem in bus lanes. If you have an M34 in the bus lane and there is a car parked in front of it then the bus has to switch lanes, create congestion, just to get back into the lane once it passes the car. Bottlenecking issues right there.

yeah.. Especially the BRT on the Bx12. I dunno why DOT allows people to park on weekends and after rush hrs.. Traffic is still going on in certain places. Which sucks when the lane is closed for BRT
