I heard that the (M) "would" operate as (J) short turns between Chambers and Broadway Junction.

Last week when there were switch problems at Broadway Lafayette that seperated the M in 2 sections , on SubwayTime  the ones from

Chambers to Broadway Junction were labeled (J) on SubwayTime. Not from the junction though .

EDIT: Guess what? Around the horn is apparently right .

I wonder why they choose this.Maybe to not get people confused.

  2. MTA Service Status

    Service Change   Posted: 12/11/2017 11:39PM

    (F) trains are stopping along the  line between 36 St (Qns) and 47-50 Sts-Rockefeller Ctr in both directions

There is no (Q) train service between Lexington Av-63 St and 96 St in both directions.

These service changes are because of signal problems at Lexington Av-63 St.

so where can you turn the (Q) train? The only place is Herald Square If In not mistaken.the only other choice is too run it to queens on the (E)

  3. It seems like the (M) will run weekends. They probobaly forgot to put it in the video.the website official advisory says yes weekends,no weekdays. Why don’t they run to Essex or chambers on weekdays. To save money? I was wondering what the point was of running it on weekends but if they do weekends then do weekdays too.

There was a car in the Jamaica Yard lead tracks, and there have been the usual signal failures and overcrowding.

    other than that, not much...

Also there lots of “train with mechanical problems” I wish they would be honest and write something else many time I don’t think the “train” is at fault

  5. So Underway NYC app received an update and in that update  it shows Trip ID numbers one of the things I noticed tonight is that some trains are getting to their terminals very late.Like now I’m tracking the 2324 (F) from Stillwelk and right now it’s not due to 179 till 1:38 am when it should reach there at 12:54 am.Do trains really run that late a lot?

Coney Island is the only yard that regularly operates/maintains the Siemens sets (except for the ultra rare Siemens (F) train).

Generally, yes.  IIMN, they also have to verify that the red signal was what caused the train to go BIE (make sure it wasn't something or someone on the tracks as well).

Thank g-d I wasn't in a train like this and I hope i never will be .I once was in a BIE train for 15-20 min in which they found debris on the track .But this mornings issue seemed more serious thankfully I wasn't there .
