  1. What's the reason for this again? C/R boards?
  2. IIRC the heater positioning results in headed seats on the 179s.
  3. If the is going full length, then the fact that it shares yards with the should be an obvious indicator that the TA may just pool the fleet assignments for those two lines like they do the and . So all of this "which line should get the 10-car sets" banter with respect to the A/C is completely pointless.
  4. Yes, there will be an extra 10 open gangway prototypes. Read the second doc. But there is a typo in that "production trains" for the 211A order should be 430 cars and not 440 cars (since you have to subtract 10 cars for the initial train).
  5. That doesn't mean Siemens-Alstom won't be a subsystem contractor. I'm interested to see who Kawasaki contracts the propulsion system out to. Maybe it'll be a split fleet again; maybe we'll see an entirely new propulsion supplier (Mitsubishi, Toshiba), and maybe as some have been saying, we'll see permanent magnet synchronous motors.
  6. If the staff summary says they didn't bid, then they didn't bid. The most likely explanation would be that with the ongoing merger, the companies deemed it unwise to take on such a large order with such a stringent delivery schedule.

  8. 3094-97 were towed down to Pitkin from 207 about an hour ago.
  9. Cars on property: 3010-3019 (10) 3050-3069 (20) 3086-3093 (8) 3096-3097 [2] If the trend follows, 94-95 will arrive tomorrow.
  10. All this pointless bickering and debating aside, 3096 & 3097 are being delivered tonight.
  11. There's no reason to change the numbering either. The 160s have 4-car sets bracketing the 5-car sets number-wise.
  12. Just a reminder, photobucket doesn't play nice anymore lol
  13. This is slightly inaccurate. If you read the actual report, the way the information is phrased indicates that the 40-foot cruiser buses are part of a SEPARATE procurement contract that has yet to be issued:
  14. I'm sort of bummed, bc now I have to update the openBVE version, and also, I don't like this new change lmfao
  15. On another note, it sounds like a recent software update has changed the pitch curve of the traction inverters. Listen for the second pitch change in this video:
  16. If there are talks like this going on, they're probably confidential. So anyone who even knows would not be allowed to confirm or deny due to NDA agreements. Just wait for the documentation to come out, if there will be any.
  17. Most passengers don't know anything about where the 8-car trains stop anyway. I see people scurrying for the doors bc they're standing on the wrong part of the platform everytime I ride the (C), so I don't think it's really a problem.
  18. lol did we skip a bunch of cars or are they just coming in out of order now?
