  1. Not sure if mentioned already, but 8752's back is totally white [even the rear display sign]. 9643, wow, did it always have a 'roar' sound? You can hear that bus a whole block away.

I missed getting on a Nova LFS on the B6 as the bus closed up just as I got to the door. It think it was 8034. there was also another LFS before it, but didn't get the number.

Wait outside the Ulmer Park depot. There are a crapload of LFS buses there. They usually go into service on the B3, B6, and B64.

  2. Today I did some Bronx fanning. I spent 45 minutes at City Island, waiting for the BxM7A. At 6:50, I finally gave up. Two minutes later, the Bx29 back to Coop City was crossing the City Island Bridge when I saw the BxM7A heading to City Island. However, I did catch an Artic on the Bee Line 45 route. Pics will be posted on Friday.

  3. After I took my Torts final exam, I had lunch in Flushing. I then took the Q28 to Bayside. I was trying to take QM2A pics but that was an epic fail. One bus went by too fast. When I tried to take a pic of another bus, the driver made this gesture. A Caucasian woman who got off the bus looked at me funny. Since I was in a weird neighborhood and I didn't want any crap, I got out of there. I took the Q76 back to Jamaica. There were a few Bayside High School kids coming back from their track and football practice. Although the Q76 is along route, it is deceptively fast.

  4. I just got off the Q85 bus. As I was boarding at Jamaica Center, this fool tried to skip me on line. He didn't try that with the guy in front of me. I held my arm out and said, "Excuse me." He mumbled some sh*t but did nothing. Of course this wouldn't have happened on an EXPRESS BUS.

  5. After a long night of studying, I took the Q44 home. I got on around 12:30 AM. As we passed the Van Wyck Expressway, a passenger decided to show me what he had for dinner. Needless to say, I quickly got off. I had to wait 20 minutes in the freezing cold for the next bus. The other passengers remained on the bus. I guess they were so tired that they were oblivious to the stench.

  6. I get some natural tea, along with this natural honey from Germany that I enjoy and some natural lemon juice. Fresh natural lemons could work too of course. The honey soothes the throat amongst other things and the lemon also helps too. :P

I keep emphasizing natural because I find that it works well in helping the body recover quicker. Whenever I do get sick which isn't often that's what I use. As far as Halls go I would elect for a natural one that works well and tastes 10 times better. I use these natural herbal candy drops from Switzerland which are made by Ricola. They're very tasty and also help to soothe the throat. ;)

I would recommend some herbal stuff, but I don't know where to go here in the States. In Italy we had herbal stores that specialized in certain herbs and such that you could use for colds and upset stomachs and such.

Whole Foods sells a plethora of herbal medicine

  7. To me the 90s were the good ol' days. I remember the one on 86th and 3rd Av. I have no idea what it is now. I only know that it was near a movie theater [dunno if that's still there either].

Speaking of Petco, the Petco at Utica and Flatbush used to be part of a larger Burger King site. It had an arcade building and a mini/kidie amusement park with a mini coaster and mini 'tea cup' ride. Damn, if only I had pics of it. It was quite a sight.

It seems like the arcade era is over in the city. I think it has to do with hoodlums congregating at arcades. Even the arcade in Chinatown is moving to a bar in Williamsburg. Broadway City in Times Square was epic, but thanks to a stabbing and a rape, it is gone.
