  1. After dealing with Summer 2010, I was waiting for the Winter to hit so bad! Despite the several occurrences of snow, this is how Winter should be.

incorrect (this time I really mean it)

Random thought: I hate it when people ask for your camera settings. Don't copy off of my way of taking photographs, learn your own.

Believe me, I wouldn't mind some photography tips from Fred G.

  2. I accidentally ripped the top of a bag of Goldfish a bit too much. If I leave it alone, they'll go stale, but if I eat them all and then my sister, who needs them for snacks for track, finds out, I won't really give a shit.

I hate Goldfish. They have no flavor, and my mouth feels dry after I eat them.

  3. While looking at a Bronx bus map, I realized that the Throgs Neck Bridge isn't used by any bus route. In addition, the Bronx express bus routes are forced to use local streets in Manhattan since the FDR bans commercial traffic north of 23rd Street. I propose a route that would start at the BxM9's terminal at Layton Avenue in Throgs Neck. It would make stops along the Throgs Neck Expressway service road before taking the bridge to the Clearview and then to the LIE. It would then follow a similar routing in Manhattan as the Queens express bus routes. I might even consider a BxM9A that heads to lower Manhattan. After the Midtown Tunnel, it would follow the QM25's route to Lower Manhattan. I'm not 100% sure these routes would save time, but I think it's worth a shot.

  4. Transit photography is a frustrating hobby. In addition to the snide @ss B/O's, you have to deal with people who get in the way of your shots. Today, I had the perfect shot of the BxM9 lined up and this dumb b*tch decided to jaywalk. The bus swerved to avoid her and that messed up the angle.

  5. Today was quite possibly my worst visit to the Palisades. I'm not even sure if I'm ever coming back:

It started off ok. I got on the 2:45 train at Grand Central. I got to the mall around 4:10. There was this TOR hybrid. Unlike the NG's, these buses look good. I took out my digital camera. I had the perfect shot lined up and this chickenhead messed it up. I entered the mall. I noticed that Krazy City, my favorite arcade, was closed. They had the coolest motion simulator. Next, I went to Footlocker. They had this cool Amare Stoudemire shirt for $25. They had every size except XL. I wasn't too thrilled. Basically, in a 10 minute span I was pwned three times.

I had a chicken sandwich for lunch and bought a few items from Target. I also noticed that the FYE was closing. I bought a DVD on sale. My parents love cheesecake so I stopped by the Cheesecake Factory and bought an overpriced slice of cheesecake. For &7.50, you get a smaller (and less tasty) slice than Junior's. I exited the mall and noticed the smell of raw sewage. The Tappan Zee bus was scheduled to arrive at 7:02. At 7:05, a TZx bus that said "Spring Valley" arrived. About a dozen people got on. At 7:10, the White Plains bus still didn't arrive. I was scared the Spring Valley bus was really the White Plains bus and that I missed it. I didn't want to pay a ridiculous amount of money for a cab. At 7:22, the bus finally arrived. Thanks to a traffic jam on the Tappan Zee, I missed the 7:51 train at Tarrytown (we arrived at 7:54). Fortunately, the next train was 8:12. Unfortunately, it was a local.
