  1. Do you know what happened on my B/O friend's M4 bus I was on today?

One of worker who also commutes in Chicago put in his Chicago Metro Pass into farebox by mistake, and he correct himself to his MetroCard!! LOL!

I once (almost) used a WMATA fare pass at Jamaica Center.

  2. The real Cannonball train refers to the super express train to Montauk that leaves on the Friday before a major holiday. That's Memorial Day, July 4th and Labor Day I believe. It only make its one stop in Jamaica before Montauk.

No, it stops at Hunterspoint, Jamaica, Westhampton, Bridgehampton, East Hampton, Amangasett (sp?), and Montauk.

  3. My official review of the M8:

Overall, I was impressed with the M8. The ride is very smooth, the seats are somewhat comfortable (though the headrest are still too hard), and there are outlets. Aesthetically, however, I wasn't impressed. The M8 isn't known for its beauty. There was a lot of hype about the M8, but it's essentially a M7a with red paint. The M8 is definitely an improvement over the current rolling stock of the New Haven line, but it's definitely not the best commuter rail car out there. I'm sure the Silverliner V (which I'll likely ride on Monday) is the better model.

  4. Once it goes up during the PM hours, it won't come back down. The chances of getting the M8s will increase when set #2 enters service.

No, I'm taking the 4:07 train from Grand Central.

  5. Next week, I hope to achieve railfanning immortality. I have the entire week off. On Monday, I will head to Philadelphia and attempt to take pics of and make a video of the Silverliner V. On Friday, I will look for the M8. The Silverliner V and the M8 on the same week. Can it be done? Stay tuned...

  6. I was flipping through the channels at 1 AM when I stumbled upon this reality show on VH1 called You're Cut Off. It's a show about a group of spoiled rich girls whose families are tired of paying for their extravagant lifestyles. This one character, Jenn, reminds me of Paris Hilton.
