  1. Yes, I know. I was simply poking fun at all the rumors.
  2. Well in that case I guess we can rule out the R-32s going to the and lines as some had been previously speculating.
  3. How do they plan on making up for those cars?
  4. Speaking of random thoughts, whatever became of that Renault that (NYCT) tested in the 1980s? I assume that the trial wasn't a success, as they never bought any. And didn't they test a Crown-Ikarus (aka Orion III) articulated bus a few years later?
  5. What is the exact nature of the damage? After all, sixteen 75' cars is a handful. Is there really no way of saving them?
  6. Correction: had the not put in so many damn timers, the (A)/© lines would not be in such a mess. Anyway, concerning the R-42 sets on the , I was wondering: Are they always running at certain times, or do they move them around in the schedule? What I mean is that in the morning, there's usually a train of R-42s leaving 145th northbound at 8, but I no longer see the one that used to leave Jay Street at around 15:10.
  7. Things that annoy me, hmmm, let's see... Well, here's a condensed version of things that annoy the hell out of me: -excessive heat -idiots -foamers -people who are arrogant/act like jerks and/or a-holes -Wall Street and capitalists/capitalism in general -the Republican Party -the Democratic Party -NYC and NYS politicians -people who talk out their rear end -yuppies/hipsters/white trash/etc. -atheists who are overly militant (I don't have serious problems with somebody being atheist, even though I am a devout YET MODERATE Catholic, but the moment that somebody starts going around and saying that anyone who believes in God is stupid, is when I start to get slightly pissed off) -brainless bureaucrats -over-emphasizing the value of hard work -extremism/extremists in general -the MEDIA in this country
  8. I have many transit photos that are my favorite, but if i had to choose a single photo, then it would have to be this one: This photo was taken on August 31st in Lublin, Poland. This bus is a Jelcz M-11 (built in 1990) of the city bus company. Come to think of it, this photo is now historic, because this particular bus (#2124) was scrapped in October.
  9. My minute collection consists of a pair of "NYCTA"-stamped gloves, AND.... a screw used to hold the hinged metal panel over the door motor in place. From an R-40 Slant, it hit me on the head when it fell out of its hole. I then proceeded to annex it, and so it became a part of my realm.... One day I hope to buy a front and side rollsign from an R-40, a Flipdot sign from an R-38, a side rollsign from an R-32 (specifically, the one with the manual cranks), Redbird rollsigns, and a car number plate from an R-38.
