  1.

    Whats a "dream key"?

It's a key the RR give to their employees and what the conductors use on trains. Both RR have the same sets and it has many functions on the equipments and does it all except train movement . Looks just like the TA conductors keys but bigger and heavier. But I was just wondering do TO's get a master key like what only Engineers get which is gold and longer. So for instance two sets of transportation keys.
  2. Yesterday was going over the rule book again. A division split up for a little while doing right to know training. Its basically going over hazards you might encounter on the job. There are quizzes after each section and if you get it wrong, it goes over that section again until you get it right. Each person sits at a computer with headsets and you go at your own pace. I have no idea what the B division guys were doing.

That Right to Know is mandatory for all MTA agencies. Did they show the video from the 80's with factory injuries?

No offense, but some of us here actually are. I'm particularly interested since I work for a different railroad that does things that are very different in terms of training. If you don't think this thread is worth it, go post somewhere else.

Same here , I find the training very interesting.
  4. thx for all the info good luck with your employment with mnrr

Thanks... And good luck with yours. I also like to add that they are expecting to hold classes for A/C late 09' and mid 10'. Who knows if you didn't get a response for this test you might for the next test. Not everyone passes the test or pass the background check and they need a certain number of applicants in the pool.Don't give up ,you never know...

  5. when did you apply it? i don't know anyone knows about this a/c test?

I applied Aug 1 and I went to orientation and testing Aug 6. From what I understand and this is from another website is that the Assistant Conductor test is on Aug 27 and all applicants who have been accepted has been notified.

  6. I have a question on MNRR interview process for anybody who is familiar with them. This morning I receive a call for an interview scheduled this Mon.But I miss the call on my cell phone. When I got the chance to call them back to set up a time, they informed me that Mon interview session is filled and I could be rescheduled in two weeks. My question is there any chance them calling me back to reschedule since I miss the first call. Any help will greatly be appreciated...

    Thanks....
