It's a key the RR give to their employees and what the conductors use on trains. Both RR have the same sets and it has many functions on the equipments and does it all except train movement . Looks just like the TA conductors keys but bigger and heavier. But I was just wondering do TO's get a master key like what only Engineers get which is gold and longer. So for instance two sets of transportation keys.Whats a "dream key"?

Quick question, I've seen conductors for TA with their version of dream keys for the equipment. Do TO also get a special key like for train movement or is the same keys as the conductors use for door operations and etc..

That Right to Know is mandatory for all MTA agencies. Did they show the video from the 80's with factory injuries?Yesterday was going over the rule book again. A division split up for a little while doing right to know training. Its basically going over hazards you might encounter on the job. There are quizzes after each section and if you get it wrong, it goes over that section again until you get it right. Each person sits at a computer with headsets and you go at your own pace. I have no idea what the B division guys were doing.

Same here , I find the training very interesting. No offense, but some of us here actually are. I'm particularly interested since I work for a different railroad that does things that are very different in terms of training. If you don't think this thread is worth it, go post somewhere else.

It wasn't at LIC yard but it was between LIC and Harold.Derailment in LIC Yard at 4pm today. All Hunters Pt trains got cancelled, and all NYP diesels made an extra stop at Woodside.

Tonight at work I seen a odd equipment move. Two DM 30's leading 6 C 3's with another DM 30 in the rear.I work in JAM yard so I'm always seeing cars and engines towed by protects . But this was the oddest move.

Thanks... And good luck with yours. I also like to add that they are expecting to hold classes for A/C late 09' and mid 10'. Who knows if you didn't get a response for this test you might for the next test. Not everyone passes the test or pass the background check and they need a certain number of applicants in the pool.Don't give up ,you never know...

I have a question on MNRR interview process for anybody who is familiar with them. This morning I receive a call for an interview scheduled this Mon.But I miss the call on my cell phone. When I got the chance to call them back to set up a time, they informed me that Mon interview session is filled and I could be rescheduled in two weeks. My question is there any chance them calling me back to reschedule since I miss the first call. Any help will greatly be appreciated...
Thanks....

Also are TO's required to do brake testing before departing the yard or is all the testing done by inspectors.
