Ok. I'm lost here
Me too. QJ being QJ again lol. Seriously how in world is "M98" users taking the subway to the BX35? I thought they more likely take the subway and transfer to the M100 at 125th or even connect to the BX36 for 181/GW Bus Terminal area.

Back to the late '90's. And this cutie. Not big into country but she did a great way to blend pop music and country.

Here my idea for the purposed new "Far West Side" bus route. It called M12.
Runs between Columbus Circle area (57th and 8th) and Washington and Houston.
Main Route: 57th, 11th Ave, 10th(Northbound between 23rd and 42nd), serves Chelesa Piers, then via West St.(limited stops)14th and down via Hudson St to Houston and Washington. Needs to avoid any further south to avoid the Holland Tunnel and helps out the "M11."
"M11" weekdays and saturdays short trips southbound starts/ends at 34th Street. Reactions?

One of the biggest new hits of the 2012 holiday season. A nice remake of the classic Donny Hathaway yuletide song "This Christmas." Here Lady Antebellum's version.

This is a warning. If we get into another heated debate about the R188 (as far as i know it's not on the NYC subway system yet)this topic will be locked away so fast your head will spin. Only time i say it. Thanks

Knock it off children i.e Threxx and Rollovemyhead. Keep it up and you both will be quiet for a long time. Now back to R188 discussion in a mature manner. Thank You.

Oh yes NWA infamous for starting the gangsta rap era.
My last pick for tonight. Little Drummer Boy.

Just weeks until a guy in a red suit makes his world famous trip around the globe.

love this. jubai listen closely. #1 hit from late 1979.

Most of pop music in 2012 sucks. No offense Jubai. Lets go back to the early '80's. A lady that IMO blows away Taylor Swift. She was and still beautiful and an added bonus can actually sing. Here a song that often credited with starting the health/fitness craze in America and much of the world. #1 smash in late 1981 and early 1982.

Man hard to believe this song is now almost 12 years old. Here a smash hit circa late 2000/early 2001 from Doors Down.

more song picked song for tonight. An old school R&B/Soft Rock classic from the mid 1980's. Man one of the cutiest of the '80's i had crush on (along with other mid/late '80's young female pop stars such as Tiffany, Lisa Lisa's Lisa Valdez, Belinda Carlisle of the Go Go's to name a few of that era)

Hard to believe this came out almost a decade ago. Here Andrew 3000 playing hendrix in new bio film coming out in 2013.
"Hey Ya" Outkast

Beavis and Butthead, that was one show that had me on the floor laughing my ass off for many years.
OK. In honor of "Beavis" lol here the offical song from the 1996 hit movie soundtrack "Beavis and Butthead Do America."

thanksgiving is always the 4th thursday in november
joe
Oh ok. Thanks for clearly it up. Learn something new every day.

Shifting gears. I dont post here often but i got a rant. Why is Thanksgiving this year (2012) fall so early on the 22? I always thought it was the last Thursday in November. The last Thursday this year is Nov. 29 and thus we have a rare 5th Thursday of a month. I wonder if being celebrated this year so it's more shopping days for the Christmas/New Years Holiday season? And thus more $$$ for Department and Box stores.

That's cool. I enjoy this one particularly to the strong emotion that's convicted in this song (something many songs today lack), and other personal reasons. Well tonight is easy going. Let's get the thread moving tonight.
The Commodores in Nightshift.

Great Tribute song circa early 1985 to then recent deaths of Marvin Gaye and Jackie Wilson. It was also the last top 20 pop hit for that group.
FYI. Notice Lionel Ritchie was not singing lead in that song as he just left that band for a succesful solo carrer.

Any fans of R&B up in here? This hit was all over the airwaves back in '98, K-Ci & JoJo in All My Life.

Actually i am more into (before you born Turbo) R&B from the '70's and '80's. Sure i remember that great song "all my life." It was played to death especially here in NYC area on Lite FM 106.7 and the old Kiss FM(R&B station) not the current KISS FM in LA area.

Please tell me you are joking. That show is amazing.
Hey Threxx is entitled to his tastes. It's like ice cream. Not everyone likes strawberry .

My guess for 2001 being the cut-off date is because after 9/11, there was more political correctness in cartoons thanks to the pressure from watchdog groups (like the Parents Television Council). Nowadays, you don't see someone like Tom or Jerry get hit by an iron.
I guess this wont air on tv lol. The PC police would scream at this lol.
FYI. One of my favorite cartoon skits ever

Guys. A Friendly reminder. Some of the so called music you posted really belongs in this thread w/ link. That for TV Theme songs and other non traditional music. Please post there if possible. Thank You

VG8 i dont disagree and agree that the M6 should come back. However like the B5/B50 merger in Brooklyn about 15-plus years ago, the M6 IMO is not coming back. The M104 has a much better chance of returning it's full old route i.e To/from the UN then a full M6 return. Not to mention Broadway is now vechile-free permanetly between Times Sq area and Union Sq. So the M6 Downtown bound would had to use either 7th Avenue, 23rd Street and Park Ave South/Broadway or 5th Avenue/Park Ave South and Broadway.
In 2010 IMO, I would done a M5/M6 'marriage" w/ say the M6 could been extended to say 72nd/Broadway. While would have become a M5 the 2nd 6th Avenue route between 72nd and Downtown. Thus the M5 could have run 'limited' at all times between 72nd and say City Hall/Park Row. I would have ran the "M5" to City Hall/Park Row (with most buses weekdays ending at Houston). That would made more sense than scrapping the M6 totally. Just IMO dont have to agree guys but it would prevented the huge delays/bus bunching the "M5" now has 7 days a week.
