  1. Why so much 80's?

Threxx there a great amount of music before 2007(I assume that as far back you remember music)and not Drake, Justin Brieber, Beyonce, etc. Inlcuding the 1980's my decade. When you get to high school i am sure you start to like 20th Century music and before that classics from Mozart, Beethoven, etc.

Speaking of oldies here a great disco song that was among the first sampled ever in music. Walter Murphy's "Fifth of Beethoven' from sampled a classic Beethoven song. Plus was on the lengedary Saturday Night Fever soundtrack.

  2. Well this song is for anyone who knows of some weirdo or a freak that follows them around endlessly, be it in person or on the internet.... Enjoy...

Michael Jackson - Somebody's Watching Me

    Boy are the lyrics true...

Correction. A singer called Maxwell (Motown Records Founder/Owner Barry Gowdy's son) sang the leads. MJ sang background vocals.

And my pick for tonight. "try Jah Love"

  3. While it's a cool song for the teen world lol got say this. I am now playing here no doubt the biggest hit of summer 2012, which is a debut single teen from Canada Carly Rae Jepsen. Jepsen was discovered by Justin Briber on his new record company. Someone please tell me how Briber(not a fan of his) is one of the most popular pop stars in the world? And how Jepsen on her debut single has the 2nd biggest hit of 2012 so far? Unless you been u been under a rock you heard this song everywhere at sportsbars, shopping centers, etc over the past 2 months. Carly Rae is already being called the next Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Rhianna, Britney, Chris aguilera and of course Beyonce as the first new "Breakout" Hip-Hop/Pop Artist of this new decade aka the 2010's.

    Someone explain lol.

  4.

Heard Andre' 3000 aka Andre Benjamin just started production in biofilm to play Jimi Hendrix in a movie on lenegdary rock star. It suppose to debut towards the end of 2013 or early in 2014. Its basically an unauthorized film not endorsed by Hendrix's estate run by his Dad/remaining family.

And a Classic Hendrix song as well.

  5. Cool. Honestly I don't even know much about them with the exception of this song. I remember hearing this when I was much younger at a 'lil deli/resteraunt my dad used to hang out at. I was attracted to it and now I'm glad I finnaly got the name of the song, as I couldn't remember the lyrics (only "Hollywooooood" lol) but the tune to it.

Young man (Jamaica) do a youtube search of them. If you into old school R&B/POP they are a really good band IMO. During the late 1970's/early '80's(before Hip Hop busted onto the scene)they were among the world's most popular R&B/Pop/Dance bands. Also they a local metro area band with most of the members oringally from Jersey City/Newark, NJ area.

Here a couple of their biggest hits. They several more but touching the surface.

1)Summer Madness(will smith sampled this for his early '90's hit "Summertime)

2)Celebration their only #1 pop hit

3)Open Seasme (Saturday Night Fever soundtrack)

  6. Speaking of the Rockaways, this was brought up before, but why not restructure the Q35 as a limited in Queens and put it on Rockaway Beach Boulevard instead of Newport Avenue? Then it could run to and from Arverne at all times, allowing for better connections with the subways at Brooklyn College, instead of a long Q52 ride to Woodhaven.

This is how I would run the Q35 as a full-time limited:

    Eastbound to Arverne:

    H and Nostrand

    Flatbush Avenue and Kings Highway

Avenue N (moved from Avenue P)

    Fillmore Avenue (added)

    Avenue S

    Avenue U

    Marine Park Golf Club

    Aviator Sports

    Gateway main entrance

    State Road cutoff

    Riis Park - bathhouse

Rockaway Beach Boulevard and Beach 149 Street

    Beach 135 Street

    Beach 125 Street

    Beach 115 Street

    Beach 108 Street

    Beach 105 Street

    Beach 102 Street

    Beach 96 Street

    Beach 91 Street

    Beach 86 Street

    Beach 81 Street

    Beach 73 Street

    Beach 69 Street

    Beach 67 Street (last stop)

    Westbound

    Reverse all stops except:

Beach 126 Street instead of Beach 125 Street

    No Fillmore Avenue northbound stop

Not bad. However late nights between 1230am-6am and on sunday mornings until 8am it should make all B41 stops along Flatbush. Plus the Arverne should run only when the Q22 and Q52 are not running.

  7. One of my all time favorite songs. First performed by Sting and the Police in 1983. Then redone almost 15 years later by Sean Combs upon tragic murder in 1997 of Biggie Smalls. Here one of the few oringal all time pop music classic and its remake to spend at least 8 weeks at #1 on Billboard charts in its reign atop the US charts *twice*.

1)the 1983 oringal by Sting and the Police

2)1997 remake by Sean Combs and Faith Evans as tribute to Chris Wallace aka Biggie Smalls. I be missing you (every breathe you take)
