The R46s are getting rehabbed to extend their life for SIR service, so theyre not a source of concern for the MTA.

No it wont. The miracle will be segments 3 and 4. Phase 1 will open sometime before the end of the decade, and phase 2 probably ten years after (If I were a betting man Id say 2029).
