  1. They’re not going to retrofit a 47-48 year old subway car… a single one at that.
  2. I guess you’ve never seen the ‘s R143’s and the R160’s on the and …
  3. No, that’s costly and cost ineffective for the time being. You’ll spend more on labor and maintenance than waiting another two years and receiving “Rail road qualified” equipment.
  4. Those be the worst conductors but don’t worry eventually they get caught up. 😏
  5. I love the little theories and the endless back and forth that y’all do in regards to car assignments meanwhile most of y’all don’t work in RTO or car equipment to be so high strung and aggressive with your theories. It’s quite funny but a bit concerning on second thought. Carry on though. 😂😉
  6. I don’t Know where you heard that from…
  7. The R211T is doing fine, minor kinks need to be ironed out but from what I’ve experienced and heard they’re definitely doing better than the original R211A
  8. The R211 probably won’t see passenger service until the summer or fall of 2023. The cars are having many many technical issues and malfunctions.
  9. They have to run the every 12 Minutes so it doesn’t interfere with the at 96th so aggressively.
  10. When an incident like this ever occurs, it’s not just 1 person… it’s two at the least but typically it’s a couple of employees. I question your credibility and accuracy of this as this all sounds fabricated.
  11. Provide proof or a fact sheet… because the TA ran a mixed consist OOS via Queens Boulevard as well…
  12. I personally don’t think that was a “mistake” and no one was terminated from this said “mistake” there wasn’t any news on this alleged incident and I find it hard to believe that any QUALIFIED train operator didn’t call out the mixed consist to local supervision… in my theory it was a test train for compatibility in case there’s a shortage.
  13. I find that hard to believe that a conductor would “flat out ignore” a customer with a valid question, complaint, or concern… and just because YOU “never” seen conductors doing anything doesn’t mean you make generalizations about them and their job. Conductors do a lot of safety sensitive operations, and are the point of contact and communication of the train.
  14. Thats nice. But when does RCC adhere exactly-verbatim to the rule book. On paper it states exactly but any contact with the train it’s classified as a 12-9 incident. Carry on tough guy.
  15. Don’t believe everything you hear, that’s all hearsay and conjecture at this time. Charges aren’t brought up that quickly especially if a third party doesn’t have a physical hand dealt in the situation. The boy wasn’t forced at gun/knife point to surf the train therefore this is solely on the victim and his negligence and ignorance. Kid had videos of himself surfing trains amongst others… what the heck did anyone think was gonna happen?
  16. Half? Nah i’d say a quarter. The other instances are unauthorized on the roadbed, vandalism of all sorts, and passenger altercations
  17. Wrong. “12-9” means customer came in contact with the train. And it’s any contact, not necessarily restricted to customer under the train.
  18. That’s never gonna stop. So many people are used to the non consequential nature of fare evasion it’s second nature now. They need to criminalize it and publicize it. And they have to get rid of the turnstiles and replace them with HEETs. And also that emergency exit door should remained locked!
  19. You work PMs where? In your sleep? Because I work between AM into PMs and I see no difference. In fact, I see the same characters at the same stations. And still see forts or encampments at the ends/beginning of platforms. And what do police do? NOTHING. The customers ignore it. The problem will continued to be ignored.
  20. They’ll realize it after next Sunday and run it express from chambers to 96 then local from EXP track to the Local after 96 Street… trial and error at this point. 🙄
  21. I think he was asking if the color scheme of the cars would be painted as the WF(World’s fair) or the standard ML(Main line) color…
  22. I wonder why they keep shuffling those cars back and forth…
  23. Welp! the First refurbished R160A five-car unit, 9733-9737 got it’s blue NYS livery scheme aka “Cuomo wrap” removed.
  24. Unfortunately that’ll never happen even if the whole transit system is NTT. Different car lengths and now different door sizes…
