  1. The express and local merge south of Prospect Park.

The (B)(D)(N)(Q)(R) thing was probably only a few trains, not a long-term change.

    NEXT

Because of a terror threat, all stations named Avenue U are impassable. Nearby express tracks are affected too.

    Impassable:

    Av U (B)(Q)

    Av U (F)

    Av U (N)

    (B)

via the (D) Grand St to Coney Island (West End Local)

    (Q)

via the (N) Canal St to Kings Hwy (Sea Beach Local)

    (F)

via Culver Local to Kings Hwy

The express and local merge south of Prospect Park.

Are you sure they merge, because I am sure all that happens is that there is a switch track that allows the (Q) to go Brighton Local.

  2. By just north, I meant the interlocking that leads into Coney Island.

Couldn't the (D) also turn at Bay 50th (Manhattan-bound platform)?

And @trainguy: Brighton can't handle (B)(D)(N)(Q) all on one track.

Well it can handle the (B)(D)(R) on the Express and the (N)(Q) on the Local. Hit the pictures thread.

If it can do that, then surely it can handle the (B)(D)(N) on the Express and the (Q) on the Local.

  3. NEXT

West End and Sea Beach are both closed just north of Coney Island.

    Time: 3 AM

    Expected duration: 24 hours

Well since this actually happened....but with 4th Av.

    (D)

via the (Q) Coney Island to Brighton Beach.

via the (B) Brighton Beach to 47/50 Sts. (Brighton/6 Av Express)

via the (D) 47/50 Sts to 205 St. (CPW Express/Grand CC Local)

    (N)

via the (Q) Coney Island to Brighton Beach.

via the (B) Brighton Beach to DeKalb Av. (Brighton Express)

via the (Q) DeKalb Av to Canal St.

via the (N) Canal St to Astoria Ditmars Blvd. (Broadway/Astoria Local)

Depending on just North, the (D) could turn at Bay Pkwy, or 9th Av, and the (N) could turn at Kings Hwy, or Gransavend 86th.

  4. (B)

via the (A)(C) 145th St to Jay Street (CPW Local/8 Av Express)

via the (F) Jay Street to Coney Island (Park Slope Express/ Culver Local)

via the (F) Coney Island to Jay Street (Culver Local/Park Slope Express)

via the (A)(C) Jay Street to 145th Street (8 Av Express/CPW Local)

    (D)

via the (F) W4 to Coney Island (Park Slope/Culver Express)

    Normal uptown service

    (R)

via the <N> 59th Street to 86th Street (Sea Beach Express)

    Switch to CI Yard

    (Q)

via the (N) Atlantic Av to Coney Island (4th Av/Sea Beach Local)

via the (N) Coney Island to Atlantic Av (4th Av/Sea Beach Local)

via the (Q) Atlantic Av to Astoria Ditmars (Broadway Express/Astoria Local)

    Buses

    via E16 St

    via E18 St

  5. Just corrected that...

So this means the (A) is getting new cars?

No. It's the (C). The sets are not long enough for the (A).

Even if the (A) was getting them, they could only go to Lefferts. There is a problem with the 3rd out in Rockaway. When they were using the R160s to test run on the (A), they literally sucked out all the juice.

  6. The (A) is more than 8 TPH. Still too much on Local track, anyway. The (E) is 14-15 TPH!

    Ok then,

    (C) 8 Av Local

    (E) 8 Av Express

    (A)(E)(F) Express

    (B)(C)(D) Local

    (M) runs to Chambers Street.

Pretty even. The Brighton could handle 5, (B)(D)(N)(Q)(R), that is with the (B)(D)(R) on the Express though.

  7. 8th Avenue Local can't handle the (B), (C), (D), (E), (F) and (M). (At normal headways)

    REVISED

    See original post, include this.

    (A) 8th Av/CPW Express

    (B) via 8th Av/CPW Local

    (C) via 8th Av Express/CPW Local

    (D) via 8th Av Local/CPW Express

    (E) via 8th Av Local/Queens Blvd Express

    (F) via 8th Av/Queens Blvd Express

    (M) via 8th Av/Queens Blvd Local

    8 Av

    (A)(C)(F) Express, (B)(D)(E)(M) Local

  8. New scenario:

The 6th Avenue line (except for Grand Street, Broadway-Lafayette and West 4th) and Rutgers tunnels are BOTH out due to separate issues. Trains on 6th Avenue can use the tracks at West 4th to cross over and can use the Manhattan Bridge.

    (B)

via the (E) [8 Av Local] W4 to 145th St

    (D)

via the (E) [8 Av Local] W4 to Times Square

via the (A) [CPW Express] Times Square to 145th Street

via the (D) to 205th Street

    (F)

via the (A) [8 Av Express] Jay St to Times Square

via the (E) [Queens Blvd Express] Times Square to 71 Av

via the (F) to 179th St

    (M)

    via the (E) [8 Av Local] W4 to 23/Ely

via the (M) to 71 Av

  9. Hearing this is a shame.I thank you for letting us know about this and that but this has been happening for years people creating things and losing them whatever happened to backing shit up with other people co-developers,flash drives, friends, emails wtf this is completely bull shit.

O I lost the tunnels. And the copyright issue I don't get if they're considered the NYCTA Team there shouldn't be any copyright issues someone gets the credit for the textures and the other for the creation.

When shit is done its done there may be some errors, miscalculations or whatever but when its released the community should give feedback on stuff instead developers holding in all the work and releasing everything as once risking losing ALL or MOST data.

We have top of the notch signals(nothing else may be necessary meaning they should be FINAL they were re-textured) GE&P

    Partial Elevated platform(spline) objects

Underground pack many stations and objects(not FINAL but tracks should be removed so people can add invisible stations)

Those tunnels and Sea Beach objects are major set backs.Hopefully the lesson should be finally learned about backing up data in multiple places it's just inexcusable. But I'm looking forward to better looking objects(more FPS friendly) since the Sea Beach and tunnels were lost. Can't wait!

Yeah, we have plenty of objects. I asked GE&P(6) about the EL stations. He says when the BART is done, he will look into it. Since this thread is not quite up to date, I will bring us back up to speed with what is going on in the NYCTA world on the Auran forums. First the R142 that is being made to replace the one made by Alexander55.

This is the progress so far on the R142

    R142HDUpdate-14.png

Last but not least, v2 of the EL tracks. These have fixed the splining problem, and use a lot less polygons. The left is v1, and the right is v2.

  10. The MBTA and SEPTA still paint their subway and trolley cars. Neither of those transit authorities have gone belly-up yet. And both are facing major funding issues in their respective states. The MTA won't die if it paints at least the fronts of its NTT fleets different colors. Hell, it didn't kill them to paint the area around the head and tail lights red on the R142/142A fleet.

See, they don't need different colors for the front because it so happens that in the MTA, we use Bullets.

  11. Just wanted to know if this content was or is still being worked on or is dead?(Sea Beach stations and tracks also the tunnels!

Everything up there is dead. <3>Train and GE&P(6) are talking about some copyright issues, and <3>Train does not even have the tunnels. He made them, but he lost them, and GE&P(6) and BStyles have them. They say it would be some copyright issue stuff, so BStyles is currently making some new tunnels in collab with GE&P(6).

The open-cut stuff, GE&P(6) lost all of that stuff when he lost his NYCTA content. This was part of the (N) and (Q) lines. I asked him about this stuff and he said it is coming back soon.

If you hit the Auran forums, you can see plenty new content, including some more realistic, less poly count EL tracks by BStyles.

  12. I can not explain what is going on, but when I have not downloaded all of the dependencies for a route, this happens with the tracks. I know you make your roots from scratch, and I have never seen anything like it before, from routes built from scratch. How severe is the damage to the route?

  13. Next:

The overpass @E180th St has collapsed, at 2 AM on a Monday morning. The middle track can be opened up after one day, an the rest of the tracks and the station in three. Remember that access to E180th, Uniport, And 233rd St yards are cutoff.

    Suspend the (2)

Shuttle Buses provide service to 241st St.

    (5) trains run Local in both directions between 149th St. and E180 St.

    (5) trains extended to Brooklyn and run Local in both directions from Nevins St. to Flatbush Av. until all service is restored.

  14. I will assume that this is for uptown trains only. Considering you mean ALL TRAINS everything below is included. If you only mean the Queens portion, which has happened in real life before, follow my guidelines on the (F).

    (D)

    Switch Local at Broadway Lafayette.

Switch onto W4 (8th Avenue Express).

Continues along normal route via the [C].

    (D) Goes Express at 59st.

    (F)

Runs via (M) along 53rd Street.

Runs via (E) to 71st Avenue.

Runs via (F) to 179th Street.

  15. Yep, it happened weeks ago... but what about the express trains? Can't forget about them, right? ;)

Well, there's no ® during the night, so...

    (N) via Brighton local.

    (D) via Culver local.

    (D) shuttle between 9 Av and Coney Island.

Shuttle buses between the 4 Av corridor (Bay Ridge and Dekalb Ave)

    I like it, but suggestion;

    (N) via Culver Express. Whenever there is a problem, and the (N) must use another line, it pretty much ALWAYS goes Express. And usually when it goes down the Brighton Line, It runs Express. Haters can hate, because I have seen the (N) running via the Brighton Express.

    (D) via Culver/Viaduct Express. The (D) used to be the Brighton Express, but that is not my main reason. I think the (D) should do it because it would back up the (F) traffic if everything was running Local. I now there is construction at Smith/9 Sts., but still the (D) could go Express South of Church Avenue.

  16. NEXT

Due to a shooting, the Manhattan bound Dekalb Ave (cool.png(Q)® platform is closed for a police investigation. The Brooklyn bound and bypass tracks are unaffected.

Try to make the reroutes as realistic as possible, and avoid foaming.

rerouted via the (D) from Coney Island via West End Express peak direction, and via 4th Avenue Local.

    (Q) Runs between Atlantic Avenue and Coney Island.

[R] Rerouted via DeKalb Av. bypass via Manhattan Bridge to Canal Street.

    (D)(N) run normally.
