  1. MattTrain, I see your signs, and they are amazing. I wish I had this kind of talent.

So could you hook me up with a White G.O. If not too much trouble, could you make it in black too? If it is too much you can forget it, all I need primarily is the white.

    Brighton Beach via Brighton Express

    (A) To Brighton Beach making express stops. For service along the (A) Fulton Street Line to Rockaway Park, Far Rockaway, and Lefferts Boulevard, use (C)(E)(S).

<Q> Brighton Express to Brighton Beach weekdays. Weekends take (Q) on opposite track.

    A station entry sign

    Church Avenue

    (A)(Q)<Q>

And I might as well, because I know I am going to make another request for this.

    Coney Island via Brighton Local

    (Q) Brighton Local to Coney Island all times.

I am back because you made a lot of signs for me before, and they were great. Keep doin your thing man, your doin a great job.

  2. Fan Railer has a point. This argument is pointless. Leave it at this. If they don't have Alstom, I apologize to everyone. If they do have Alstom, whoever went off on me for posting it (for instance Far Rock Depot, mark1447 and a LOT of others), they apologize to me. It is a train car with the same purpose as all the others.

  3. please dont take the following personally. it based on fact. you have stated that you have seen the 188s with alstom propulsion. fanrailer stated that it may be installed next year. so honestly whats there to believe? its current NOT installed. "i have heard and have seen" in bold letters. your words.

I think that you should also read the rest of the post.

  4. from what i understand (which is little, officially speaking) is that there shouldn't be a compatibility issue inserting the new c car into the conversion set as it will have no propulsion. This way, they don't have to worry about resurrecting an out of date, out of production propulsion model... And as far as i know, they will be installing alstom propulsion on the new 11 car sets coming in in the next year.

    now do you believe me!?

  5. WOW! Really? The MTA's original plan was to have 179s on SIR. 46s are only 2 years younger that the 44s. Do they really expect the 46s to last that long? SI hasnt seen new cars since the 44s in 1973! They also have to modify what, approximately 90 cars to FRA standards and cab signaling? I dont see them lasting that long. Theyre already 36 years old!

R179s on the SIR!? Where did you hear that? That would be a waste of good train.

Plus the SIR would be better off with R46s anyways. They could really use them. SIR is not going to get any NTTs until maybe 2025-2030. It is supposed to get some of the leftovers that are not needed because of NTTs.

  6. This is a random thoughts thread. So don't hate on me for saying this.

What if it was back in the days of the <Q> and the (A) was rerouted over Brighton? That would be extremely hype.

The (S) would be extended to Jay Street via Fulton Street Express, and the (C) extended to Far Rockaway Fulton Street Local. Just imagine the railfanning. They might even throw some R32s (Even though there are already some) or R160s on the (S).

I imagine being at Church Av railfanning and an R40S, R46, or R160B (A) to Brighton Beach, and then a <Q> R32, R46, or R160A to Coney Island.

    It would be so hype to see the station sign and the G.O. Station Overhead Destination Sign too;

    CHURCH AVENUE

    (A)(Q)<Q>

    For those of you who say the (A) can not get to the Brighton Line;

    1) 59 Street Columbus Circle

    2) W4 (via 8 Av Local)

    Thoughts?

  7. Good day MattTrain. I would like to Request an Overhead Subway Sign. I am actually using one of your signs as my signature now.

Downtown & Brooklyn to Church Avenue & Coney Island

    (F) 6 Avenue Local & Culver Express to Coney Island weekdays. Trains run Express in peak direction South of Church Avenue. Weekends trains run Local South of Church Avenue. Trains run Express between 7 Avenue and Bergen Street all times in both directions.

    (G) Crosstown/Culver Local to Coney Island weekdays. Trains run Local South of Church Avenue. Weekends trains terminate at Church Avenue. Weekends take (F) at Church Avenue.

Also I would like to request one like your avatar if it isn't too much trouble.

  8. Quick question. Is there room to convert any Sea Beach stations to Express Stations? It seems as if there is only room for 4 tracks, no additional platforms.

There is no room. The only way is to remove a track and create a peak direction service. The left track is totally not in use. Also, you could put the platforms like the Avenue J temporary platform.

They could also make it where both the express tracks join together to create a three track station, only 1 express stopping there at a time, and after, the tracks split up again.

    This is fictional anyways.

  9. This is actually a suggestion, but I'm posting it anyway. On the Sea Beach, make some express stations, repair the track, and create an express service. Start out with a <N> or a yellow (S), something like this;

    img_50245.jpg

The <N> or (S) will go after a while. Put the (N) running completely 4 Av Local. Extend the (T) to link up with the (R) at Court Street. Keep in mind the (T) is running 2nd Av Express, via its normal stations. The (N) will stop at DeKalb after the bridge. (:((Q)(R)(N)(T) will be the new DeKalb services. The (N) will run local from DeKalb to Coney Island, the (T) express.

<N> or Yellow (S) express service

    (N) Broadway Local

    Astoria Local

    4th Avenue Express

    Sea Beach Local

    Yellow (S) Shuttle [36 St.]

    4th Avenue Express

    Sea Beach Express

    <N> Broadway Express

    Astoria Express (Peak Direction)

    4th Avenue Express

    Sea Beach Express

Removal of the <N> or Yellow (S)

    (N) Broadway Local

    Astoria Local

    4th Avenue Local

    Sea Beach Local

    via Bridge

    (T) 2 Av Express

    4th Avenue Express

    Sea Beach Express

    via Tunnel
