  1. Lost all of my route yesterday. I am starting over, but it is an Amtrak route, so I won't be posting any pictures for a while :D.

But, I am going to wait until some more stuff I saw on the Auran Forums is released, and I will start the whole route over from scratch, and try to put some outside and EL tracks in.

Keep it up with the videos @R33WF, your content looks really nice.

  2. I know this one may be an easy one, but on trains like the R68, R62, R40M/S, why does the driver always hold down the throttle?

Also, when the train is in the 3rd position, or full power, what would happen if the driver were to let the throttle go?

  3. The (6) got 80 sets of R142As from the (4) so that there can be extra cars for when the the (6) lines R142As get converted now they are starting to get transfered back since the (6) isn't needing it cause its getting all of its R62As back.

If any line would get R62As back, I would say the (4)/<4>. This line has had 4 R62s way past the (6) getting R142A/R142Ss. I would like to see the (6) get some R62As back, that would be very interesting.

About the (4)/<4>, I doubt they would take the R142s off because they have been on there for a long time, including the R62s.

If this is what they are doing, I am interested in seeing this.

  4. When we know more about it, there will be a new thread about the R211s (or whatever order number they'll be). Right now, all we know is that the agency is trying to procure funding out of the 2015-19 budget for the new cars. Until we get more information, the majority of that thread will be "what will the new cars look like?" and "what lines will they go to?" Hardly productive if you ask me.

I don't expect to see an R211 or whatever until way past 2019. The R68s are pretty new cars so they got another 20-30 years. Remember that the R32/38s were on the (C) for a long time, and are still there. The R42s and R46s have been on their respective lines for a long time, the cars have been upgraded. The R211 still has a long way.

  5. Thats actually on the DLS as UXY subway route under "nycboy" as the author

O I am sorry I did not notice your question from the earlier post. The rule is just to select Cab Mode. It works in all versions of trainz above 2006. Even though one day I was fooling around and it just spawned. Forgot how I did it.

Gotta give a shoutout to my man <3>Train on the auran forums. Great creations.

Questions for GE&P(6). How is the work going on the Sea Beach stations the ones that had the tunnels at the end, and where do you suppose I can find some nice wall, like the ones on your Brighton Line?

    Also, I was running through the archives on the Auran Forums, and BStyles was quite a builder himself. Have a look;

  6. This is some really awesome stuff guys, I'm impressed!

I spoke to the author of the subway tunnels a few days ago, and he was a bit shifty/ambiguous on whether or not I could release the tunnels, since I'm the only one that has the real working .ims/etc. Apparently he doesn't have them anymore?....I don't know. Anyway, I will have to think long about this because:

    1) The textures/designs were based off BStyles' original betas I received last year. When we were divvying up the super pack, we gave responsibility for the tunnels to this creator.

    2) I have the means to replicate all of the tunnels myself, and through my own hard work become "creator" of the tunnels, but why waste all that time?

    3) If I were to release them, the original author would still get credit. It's still a matter of permission, and once my (4)(5)(6) goes out, the issue of release will be a moot point anyway.

Once homework is out of the way this weekend, I will see about getting the (4)(5) resumed in Brooklyn to their respective terminals.

Once again guys, keep up the great work!

    -A

Thanks, and I hope <3>Train and you can come to some agreement.

Hey what is that command or rule for that HUD for those lever controls I've been trying to figure that out forever!

Btw I thought I bring this too everyone's attention:

not my channel or route but this is AWESOME!

    I have also seen this before, BROAdWAYexpressN on YouTube, and NYCBoy on the Auran Forums. It is great, and I hope it comes out soon, as I was sad to hear he quit his old one;

  10. Should't this in the regular section as the photo belongs to someone else and is used to illustrate a point?

Anyway, there's a lot of R46s and R32s left and as bad as it is to have the (A)(C) be stuck with the oldest fleet in the system, some lines have to take them.

The (G) is a part time line with little to no change in its terminals. R68s suits it just fine. The (Q) needs them more as it has at least 2 northern terminals.

I don't have a question about the photo. So it belongs in this section. I am sure that the (C) will get R46s I think. The (A) should get the R179s because it is the longest line in the whole system. I do agree that the (G) takes the R68s, I thought they looked very nice on the line. And I also agree that the (Q) should keep the R160s.

  11. Another reason why these aren't running on the (A) is because they are problematic on the far rockaway branch power grid. These Trains were messing up substations in Far Rockaway which is LIPA territory (Long Island Power Authority) The R160 requires to much juice in that area.Dont get me wrong I also think the TA doesnt want these running through High vandalism areas along the (A) in brooklyn.Notice all the scrappers last runs are on the (A) line.A la R40 slant,R42,Most R32s and of course the R44 *sniff*:P

Thank you now I finally know why they stopped them.

  12. That car runs on the (N) and (Q) lines,so it isn't going anywhere soon.

Here is a link to more on the R-160 info:

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/R160_(New_York_City_Subway_car)

Ok guys I know what an R160 is and where it runs. When we get the R179s, which will probably get the (:P©(D)(S)(T) seeing these are the only lines that have not had R160s into service (Discluding testing), I think that, I hope that, the (A) snags an R179 NTT. The last thing we had was the R110B, which was a start.

  13. This photo was taken by Anthony Maimone. The car was R-160A-2 (Alstom, 2005-2008, 5 car sets) 8653. No doubt it was my most favorite (A) train ever. We will get them back soon. The NTTs (B Div.) [Excluding the R110B], were first put on the (L). The First R160A in service was put on the (A). I will never forget this train, and I hope to see it in the near future, depending on where they put the R179s.

  14. I am also going to post some stuff from my subway route. I am waiting for GE&P (6) to release his elevated stations before I start going outside. I have done something that is different to NYCTA route building. I have integrated the 6T side, island, and island stations into one route.

It starts out as a 6T island terminal. Then it changes to a 6T Bypass. Then the 6T Side. Then the line branches into a 4T line with an island station.

As for the trains, I am using the R46, R46B, and a German train which I forgot the name of, but it is DestSignTable workable. I can put things like the R32; the route first, and then the Destination. If you haven't figured out yet, the routes so far are the 70(A)(Q) and <Q>. I use the R46 for the 70(A) and (Q), the German Train on the <Q>, because I do not have the R46 rollsign for it. I am thinking of adding the (R) and 70(M) as Express trains.

The Express will stop at the Bypass station, while passing the side station. The Bypass will skip both the side and bypass stations. I will have some pictures up later tonight, just like (S) train.

Might not look as good as the rest of the stuff on here, but I am making it on a Mac (TS2010), the last version I had was Trainz 2006.

  15. I will put in an inquiry over on the Trainz forum about re-releasing the 09 & up versions (which should also work with TC), and I'll let you guys know what the verdict is.

    -A

I have trainz mac and the R46 update works with a few minor flaws. If you decided to release these new cars, it would be great. I would finally get the R62, R46 Overhaul, R32, R33WF, R36, and R38.

Thanks for all the info help above.

  16. (Q) service is rerouted to the (F) after 57 st-7 av, making stops at lexington av/63 st, roosevelt island and 21 st-queensbridge, the last stop. The (F) will not be running to those stations at that time and although not yet noted on the (MTA) site, the (F) is expected to run via 53rd street and 8th avenue with the (E).

Just like back in the day. (Q6Av) or (cool.png to 21st Street/Queensbridge, except now it is running with the (Q).

I don't remember the last time those tracks were used except for when there was the (N) ® reroute. I wish I could be there it is going to be so hype.

  17. How do you convert Magiclands' content (which was originally made for TRS2004) to newer games? I can't figure it out. I have 2006, and TC. Help is much appreciated.

I think that all of Magicland's content was 2006 compatible.

As for Trainz Classics, the only train that will work is the R46, and R46B. These are the ones that have the blue stripe and do not have the LED sign. There is one problem for me though. The doors open fine, but when they close, the chime noise does not stop playing until they are opened again. I am yet to figure out how to remove the sounds.

Trainz 2010 used to have compatibility mode, which allowed you to use any content from any time, but according to the helpdesk, it was taken off.

Green Eggs n' Pelham got someone to convert all of the cars to newer versions for him, so I think he is the guy to ask about that, as I am not sure how to do it.
