Those sets wont have the RFW much longer, once the new 21xx and 20xx 5-car sets get their full cabs that should go back.

Which yard is R62A singles that uses for 42 street shuttle is based out of ? If those R62A single were to come back to Lexington Avenue line. the R62A singles are #1901 - #2155 ( 254 cars ) R62A #1909 is scrapped.

2096-2154 are now in 5-car sets, only a few singles are used for the shuttle, the rest are on the .

that day i will stay as far as away from the line if thats the official date (i bet it wont be in service that day) there will be a pack of foamers looking for that train

 

Me or anybody who has to take the every weekday are probably going to be the first ones seeing it testing / in revenue service. As of now Im trying to pack in as many R62A photos and videos as I can, remember that RFW to Main street isn't going to be there much longer.

I heard from Daniel that yesterday that the R42 got transferred back to ENY...

Yesterday around 1 pm I caught the R42 going up to 207 st (rollsigns to Far Rock), the train went OOS at 207 street then back to the yard (saw it go into yard), which means I caught the last run of it.

What I find interesting is that Friday night that same train was going to Lefferts, so apparently that R42 was running all night. Those R46 must be crapping out bad...

I was told by 4P3607 that this is the last day for the 32 and 46 , any truth to this?

I just rode the . The flushing bound end was a 5 car set. A lot of the trains have the singles in numerical order and a train car in the middle.

That is because the singles are currently getting SMSed at 207th st yard, and those are no longer singles but 5 car sets. If you notice they have new motors, They sound different and they look new. There are 4 sets out there (but only 3 are being used like this) that were 5 car sets for a while and are on the south end.

The only reason the Bway cars are on there is because the is short on cars (I bet that is pretty obvious), Notice when they first came on the line you would be seeing stuff like 11 singles in one train, that was because they were SMSing the 5 car sets.

I was on a R32 today, the rollsigns all were set to 168th Street and Washington Heights - 8th Avenue/Fulton and I didn't any to 168th G.O. today, thought I'd share that here. It definitely wasn't a , the flipdot was set to the , the rollsigns still said Far Rockaway, it ran on the express track, and as I said before it said Washington Heights on the rollsign.

 

There is a few trains that run as far up as 168 then go to the yard, I once had an R42 do that, also there are a few that terminate at Dyckman (but the rollsign still says 207).

I heard if the swap was to happen next year, they would be putting them on a different line. Then again, thats what I heard (and which I doubt).

I had a feeling they would be doing the swap next year, I can't imagine having the R32's fully underground on a 100 degree day...

Yeah, 1651-1670 each had one end of the 5 car set converted into a single cab (used to be a full cab), Except I noticed 1651 is roaming around on the South end rather than the North end (of which the other 3 sets were placed) and has a RFW towards manhattan.

Biking is quite the excersise, especially when you're biking to the top of a refurbished dump! Merrick Mountain is the place.

 

I love biking. On nice days, I ride out from the middle of Queens over to Central park around the bike path in the park... Its fun and some good excersize, since half of the bridge is uphill and there are alot of hills in the park.

I like how the R42 shows up when your not looking for it. Its happened to me twice now.

Ive been seeing weird stuff on the lately, there are 3 sets out there conisting of 2 5-car sets and a single, rather than the usual one 5 car set and 6 singles.

wow... 106 is sitting outside on Junction / 57 in the Q72 bus stop OOS with 2 maintnence trucks and the back open.

those buses are really crapping out.

on a side note, it feels kinda cold out there.

I saw one of those HAI TMC RTS's out of JG driving along the Concourse yesterday. It then went on to make a right on Fordham Rd. I wonder what it was doing in The Bronx.

INALLY someone answered this question! I am always hearing this on the C40's, it kinda gets annoying after a while.

on a side note, I haven't seen a Orion V CNG on the Q38 since last saturday. at the max I would see one on the whole route.
