The uptown bleecker st platform has finally moved down 5 cars. The first 5 cars have been blocked off but can still be seen. The last 5 cars look new but with old tiling! Transfer not open yet.

It may not be NYC subway related, but it is subway related.

anyways, the other day on my 5th trip to philly I was on the Market-Frankford line going from 15 St to 30 St. Whoever the T/O was, it seemed like he didn't slow down for any of the timers! flew right thru the stations, especially going under the river, must have been doing 55.

anybody miss the Market-Frankford El cars (budd M3 cars, or aka Almond Joy cars)? saw some vids of it on YT, I liked the one of the fantrip.

wow. MTA test buses sure do wind up in really weird locations sometimes...

wait, wasn't there also another test NG? 1100 series? IIRC seeing a video of it on YT, the rear lights were in different form.

How often does the Q102 run to Roosevelt Is.? I went there on my bike today and it seemed like it took forever for a bus to come. I only got to fan 1 Q102 and a whole bunch of those red Orion 7s.

(still wondering why Red bus #7 has an unused LED sign on the back...)

I think trains are slower than every other one in the system....

 

There seemed to be a delay on Manhattan bound side of the 59 St tube. I was on my bike coming on the bridge, and I was seeing manhattan bound 's backed up from entry point of the tunnel all the way to 36 Av.

Probably signal problems, seems like almost every time I go thru the 59 St tube there are signal problems.

the R188's are back outside again in Corona... makes me wonder when they are going to start testing.

I dunno if this is old, but the R160 set 9193-9197 is back @ JY. I remember some R160B's, up to #9197 were moved to CI, seems that last set is back.

btw is there any reason why the wouldn't put R68A's on the when it first got the 68's? It seemed liek it took a while for the to share the entire ( fleet.

The other day I had just came out of school, and while walking to the Q60, BOTH an RTS & Orion V came. I then ran, but missed both of them. I was PISSED!! :mad:. (and no my camera decided to be slow at that time and I couldn't get a pic).

I then waited 30 minutes for the next bus to come and what was it but a crowded and late Hybrid Orion VII next gen. Damn I hate those cheap plastic things!

btw, what is that sound called when the Orion V CNG stops accelerating? that kind of backfire sound, like what 9967 had?

Just earlier there was a car crash outside my building, since firetrucks and ambulences were blocking up the whole street, Q38s were going up & down jct blvd. it is pretty weird to see a C40 where an RTS, Orion V or Hybrid is supposed to be .

I just noticed, 3609 hasn't been repainted yet. It is a whiteback tho but it has the black filler on sides around back door & has the older smaller black number above the front door.

I just missed 9932 on the Q38 yesterday, he just pulled out of the bus stop, I went over to knock on the door and she just shugged her shoulders and took off.

All I keep seeing on the Q72 now are the 3500's from SC. Those buses are ok, but I would still rather have those 36 or 3700's.

btw are there still any RTS or Orion Vs at JFK? saw Orion V the other day, and RTS on Q8 saturday before last.

You can seriously pick up more than enough styles by going on a short walk in SoHo. Queens Center Mall is getting pretty boring now...

Saw an old prevost bus on QB today, pics on a seperate thread. That thing looked like an MC9, and sounded like one of those really old bus engines.

btw there is currently an Orion V CNG out there that sounds like what 7272 or 9967 used to sound like

As im on my way to work and pass by the corona yard the R142a/R188 is not in the yard its been like that since yesturday. Does anybody knows if its in barn or it went somewhere else?

On Monday I took a bike ride up there, no R142A / 188's in the yard as well.

Unless they are in the barn, I don't get why they keep taking them out of the yard and putting them back in. Over and over the R142A's keep coming in and out. Are they going to test them or not already? (disregard if they are in the barn tho).

9932 is still around. I thought it would be long gone by now.

btw I still have a pic of 724. No, I'm not going to post it because its a hassle trying to get it off my phone onto my email, then onto my computer, then onto photobucket, then post it onto here (now can you see why I don't want to post it?)

I was at 46 St at around 5. On my train, we didn't stop rolling smoothly until past Queensboro Plaza, where the train sat in front of this building with a painting of Biggie Smalls and a ton of other graffiti on it (don't know that area very well, but I'm sure you know what I'm talking about) for 10 minutes, then it stopped every couple hundred feet after from 5-10 minutes each stop.

I passed by 46 St at right around 5:05, I didn't see you! (then again I dunno what you look like).
