  1. The thing that i don't get is how would this solve anything? If the gets eliminated and replaced with the Local, then you would still have the same # of train running except they are running local. Or are you saying eliminate the without replacing its interval which would leave the local with 8-10 minute headways during rush hour.
  2. I made this to show how easy ti is on MTA's part to create a F to lefferts program.
  3. I would turn the at Ocean Parkway to avoid Causing delays for the
  4. Due to a smoke Condition at 42 street on the , no trains can pass the station. At the same time the switches south of Bowling green on the malfunctions and is stuck to the old loop.
  5. A Preview video for a scenario to be included with the F v5 release.
  6. Boy, this thread is going to hell real quick.
  7. Passes under Prospect park and has a stop - "15 street Prospect Park"
  8. There is a smoke condition at dekalb ave , it's rush hour and no trains can pass. What do you do?
  9. They actually had this scenario happen like 2 years back (there was track repair on the sea beach line instead of a wall collapse) and they just sent everything via west end. Delays up the ass. And it was the day of the nostalgia R1 trip so that got delayed too.
  10. Sorry this is the only way how i can make the timer. They aren't interdependent on each other and clear based on time/distance your train is relative to them. i cant make one turn yellow as you approach it then turn green as the next one turns yellow, the coding just doesn't work that way. I can make it clear like that , but it would clear at any speed (even if you are approaching it at 55mph+).
  11. A wall collapses on the sea beach line Rendering the coney island bound and express track useless from 8 ave to CI. There is also track work being done on the west end express tracks. Due this being a very hot summer day , there is signal problems on the brighton line and no Coney Island/ Brighton bound trains can enter or pass kings highway.
  12. That's always a common misconception but alot of people actually do care what type of train shows up. Every time i take the home and a R42 comes in you can hear alot of sighs from the people standing in the station. Some even complain how it probably won't have a working A/C or whatever. When they ran the via the to Euclid, i heard multiple times people saying "wow , we get the new train!". So often times people do care because most people aren't oblivious to what pulls into the station. They may not know the trains specifications like us railfan's do, but most people can tell whether a train is new or old and come to the conclusion whether they like the train ride on that particular train or not. Maybe throwing some R32s onto the isn't a bad idea and people might think it's a new train , until they step inside of course.
  13. Brakes release takes too long along with a delay on applying the brakes.
  14. Alright , i would like to give this thread a shot: The Abandoned El structure collapses Near Alabama Avenue and renders the El Useless between Broadway junction and Alabama Avenue. For safety concerns the Portion of the between Bushwick Avenue - Aberdeen Street and Broadway junction is also unusable. However, Broadway junction can still accept Train Traffic and the Connection between the and lines is also unaffected. Oh , its also Rush hour so the train comes into play and there are shorter headways between trains. Reroute trains accordingly . Bonus Challenge : A Switch Malfunction occurs at metropolitan avenue at the same time as the structural collapse on the and the station can't be used as a terminal.
  15. They actually had a problem like this last year on the during a heavy thunderstorm (that somehow effected the switches at both stops). What they did was send the to Church via Culver , until the problems was fixed ( only one or two trains actually went down there)
  16. woah , no need to yell at me. Im just stating that the current openbve routes aren't the most accurate as they don't contain any timers on the A line. since 168 to 145 doesn't have timers in the route, is mostly Downhill and if you get a un-tuned train in the simulator then yea you can hit 60+ in that section . Im not talking about real life. Of course you can't hit 70 in the subway, maybe like you stated, in the 60 street tube you can hit a high speed. Again this is about the simulator not real life . Now back to the speed thread . B)
  17. well not to hijack this thread for openbve stuff, but im pretty sure that's how much speed you would get if you ignored all timers and limits and just blast into the stations.
  18. That makes absolutely no sense. All trains have brakes to slow down to the required speed regardless of their acceleration and max speed.
  19. Unaffected - runs as planed Unaffected - runs as planed via Broadway Local /59 street / to Whitehall Street via Sea Beach Express / Broadway Express / 63 St Extended to Astoria Ditmars / Broadway Express
  20. I think this belongs here: R160 Via Brighton Express:
  21. Hmm i wanna try this one, From CI to Astoria via Whitehall Street all times [Rush Hours - Additional Q trains Originate at Whitehall street and Run local via Broadway to fix the gap left by the N] From CI to 36 Street via Express from 59 street all times - using the switch on the express track to turn around. (A new Timetable has to be created for the N so that it can sync in with the D and minimize switching delays if trains are on schedule. From 95 ST to Forest Hills all times Except Late Nights [Late nights - Trains Run from 95 Street to Queens Plaza utilizing the switch before Queens plaza in the Tunnel connecting to the 60 st tunnel.] [Morning Rush hours - Select R trains run from CI to 57-7ave via Sea Beach/4 Av LCL - Whitehall street Broadway LCL] After opening of SAS Phase 1: runs from CI to 96 Street Broadway Exp via Whitehall Street From Bay Ridge -95 Street to Astoria-Ditmars via Whitehall St Broadway Local. (Rush Hours - To meet the need of Astoria - a switch is created slightly past canal street towards the bridge so that canal street [bridge tracks] Can be used as a terminal (since the bridge is closed full time) . After the Switch is created Trains Resume service from the new terminal at canal street and run to Astoria via Broadway express to help the ). Shuttle CI to 36 st all times. [Also during rush hours Some trains originate at Canal Street and run to Astoria via Broadway express]. Extended to Forest Hills 71 AV - All Times (to supplement Loss of the R) Except Late Nights [Late Nights - Cut back to Court Square] Service unaffected.
  22. Surprised no one mentioned this, On the Express stretch between Church avenue and Newkirk Plaza , the 160s can hit up to 53 mph before flying into the station. Not sure about the 68s but they can hit up the mid 40s in that section.
  23. Looks like the 160s are back on the R , at least two sets:
  24. then what happened to the third one? is it layed up or did they send it back to the east?
