  1. I miss the down vote button...  :D

I miss the days when this forum wasn't over-ruled by a**holes and pricks, who have nothing better to do than give others shit because of their own opinion. Everyone has a right to remain their opinion, and should never receive a down-vote because of what they think.

Thank god, goodbye!  [sarcasm]Your life will be so much better now![/sarcasm]

That's the difference, you say it over and over more with less then you stumble right over the point.

There is not a skeleton system...

I'm sick of you idiots coming here and bitching about how much NICE sucks and how much better the (MTA) was.  I'm sorry you don't like hearing the truth whenever you decided to piss on NICE because you were frustrated with your life because you couldn't pass a simple driving test.

I'm tired of having to constantly type the truth every time you and Pine go on a NICE bashing spree...  When I was typing this afternoon I literally had to muster up the strength because I was tired of typing the same shit for people who can't comprehend it because they're here saying the same crap a day or two later.

I came her years ago just to be the voice of reason, to point out the other side, and people like you have turned me into Mr. Veolia constantly having to run to their defense every time one of you tools says the (MTA) was better, you want the (MTA) back, etc etc etc...  I have to remind you of the truth, the a couple of days later you're back here spouting the same " (MTA) was better, this never would have happened with the (MTA) ."  It's frustrating!

You sure like to whine and bitch man...

  2. This may sound hilarious at first but its true: At certain locations given the area, the tunnels will give off an offensive odor because the water table is high in that area. Same reason why 59th Street also reaks of piss, but it may not actually because of people urinating there. The waterproofing at these corridors is failing allowing for water from the surrounding soil and rock to seep in. They may need to inject grout into the concrete continuous benchwalls in the stations to stop the leakage.

    Nice to know!

Did you made these track maps? Please teach me how to someday, because I would LOVE to do these too.

I opened up Paint and used the line tool for tracks, and the box tool for stations.

Actually, what I meant to say was…

    Left Diagram

Not sure what's going on here. There seems to be a lot of superfluous switches not serving a clear purpose. The (T) should also not be taking a diverging switch north of 72 Street as it is the principal (main) route along 2 Avenue.

(And although not obvious in the center diagram, it's is actually the (Q) that takes the diverging path to get to/from the center tracks at 72 Street since the tunnels going north are about 30-feet apart. The switches would take the (Q) tracks 10 feet away from each of the (T) tracks towards the center.)

    Center Diagram

It's the best design yet as either (T) or (Q) trains can short turn there. Furthermore, the northbound center track can also be used to orchestrate merges between updown (Q) and (T) trains.

    Right Diagram

Very simple, much like the current plan for 72 Street. But what would the switch from the downtown track to uptown (Q) track (where the wye is) be for?

There's one flaw still: there are two distinct tracks for short turning each route. When the respective tracks are used for short turning, all southbound traffic is blocked for the respective route. A (Q) using the leftmost track to short turn would have southbound service from above 72 Street suspended until the turning (Q) could clear the station. The same goes for the (T).

It was never meant for short-turning Q trains, more of a terminal in case of any problem further up the trackage. The crossover south of the station on the Q southbound. 2 tracks can be used as a terminal for the (Q) (middle and left) and 3 for the (T) (all three)

  4. Eh, don't look reasonable enough to me. And can you teach me how to add these photos?

Press the little IMG button and paste a direct link to the photo. You can also use the

Ok I get it. I think what CenSin means is that the radial curves are too sharp for appropriate clearance. Looks good to me though.

Nothing there is to scale, not the curves either. They will probably be father from the station, and with more of a curve.

  5. The one in the center looks reasonable enough. I'm not sure about the one on the left. It gives a bit of extra difficulty to the (T) (which would've just gone down a straight tunnel otherwise).

    72ndst2_zpsf89d59c2.gif

More simplified and streamlined version. 72nd can also be used as a terminal for all ways. Downtown trains relay after the station

  6. Stop trolling please.

Well I figured I could make a way to connect 6th Ave to SAS, and the (V) is a good contestant to enable a Culver Express. Sea Beach is also crowded, and I figured I didn't want the (W) to mirror the (N). Crowded Sea Beach then would have two connections, one to Broadway and one to 6th Ave.

EDIT: Forgot to include SAS has a connection to 6th Av, until Section 3 and 4 open up

  7. Switches added at Pacific St- 4th Ave for use as terminal. Express tracks can be used as terminal.

    (N) via tunnel and B'way Local

    (Q) via tunnel and B'way Local

    (R) in two sections -Whitehall St and Pacific St- (during rush only due to added N, Q tph)

    (B) trains run via the (F) and 6th Av Local from 42nd to C.I. via Culver Express (alternative for B, and D service, rush hr only)

Other times (B) trains run to 2nd Av or B'way/W4 (whichever one is open for a terminal)

    (D) trains run in two sections, -W4/B'way or 2nd Ave and Pacific St-

  8. The (N) might be full because it is a Broadway local. Prince Street should have been an express station.

They both come from Coney Island and use the same trains. You could put it conversely: on weekends, the (N) short-turns at 57 Street via the express tracks instead of running its full route, so it makes more sense to…

Exactly! The (Q) seems like a better candidate, since it also runs local on Brighton, but what do I know. The (N) also seems to have a longer route to me, and Sea Beach is a jam at times.
