It's hard to get status updates here, so can anyone help me. What time is best for finding R188's on the ? Rush hour, weekend, etc?

Because of a serious terrorist threat, the secretary of defense, Bratton, Gov. Cuomo, and deBlasio have agreed to only partially shut down the subway system. However they have declared a SOE between South Ferry and Canal Street, also between 28th Street and 57th Street.
The Manhattan bridge is closed as well as the Jorelamon, Montague, Clark tubes. The 53rd Street tunnel is also closed. Reroute service as needed.
The Cranberry tubes are open, as well as 63rd.
What is SOE?

The date/year of every single post in a forum is even right in their faces. How can you "possibly" expect a response after a year or so? Not to mention this site is already half dead as it is.
They were probably browsing the site as a new member, looking through threads etc, and replied to a post without even reading date. I've done it before, it's not something insanely rare. Maybe if you were a little decent you'd warn him, but you'll always find some way to try to power over someone else. The more you bitch about the site being dead the worse it's gonna get.

I know he's new...your point?
Maybe explain the basics/rules to him, this was my first real "forum" I have ever joined, and it's probably his too.

How about honoring Metro cards on inner-city LIRR/MNRR travel?

A New Lots-bound derails while it's making its way out of the underground portal (with half of the train outside and the other half still inside the tunnel).
Suspension and alternatives away.
trains run in two sections 148 to Utica and Junius to New Lots

Next: The Second Great Depression hits and the MTA's budget is slashed, and the MTA cannot handle the amount of routes today. Provide "good" service at a low cost for the subway. Don't feel hesitant to cut and slash lines completely.

Okay. I feel like I'm gonna stop posting scenarios on this thread for rule purposes. It also made me have a thought whether or not to go hiatus. :/
Why you so butthurt man

Because some smart person decided to pull the emergency brake on a train that was wrong railing because of a train that has a mechanical problem at 5 Avenue-59 Street, the train stalled outside Lexington. However, there's a signal malfunction, so now the train can't move, and clogged up all the tracks. Reroute trains. This is on a weekend, where the is not running to Queens, 63 Street is westbound only, and all trains run via QB local.
trains run between 57th and Coney Island
trains run between Astoria and Queensboro Plaza and 57th and Coney Island and via Tunnel
trains run from Whitehall and 95th
trains run from 71st to Middle Village

I like how you came out of nowhere to say that. You clearly can't tell the difference between on-topic and off-topic in this section if you say that.
Neither can the former moderator, so what's the difference?

Yes, I think you do care, because on numerous occasions when somebody, not just me, has debated on here with you, you get a bit hot-headed and start lashing out, throwing insults, and creating a tantrum out of literally nothing. I think you've misunderstood "hijacking a thread" which is what FamousNYLover does every time he goes off-topic and says a bunch of nonsense, and then everyone chimes in to the nonsense. What I did was make a comment about the nonsense without steering things more off-topic because it didn't require a response. It's alright, you can go back to talking about LIBRU and stopping cars for firetrucks. That's clearly more interesting and more on-topic than talking about NICE. Props to you on the photoshop, I can see you really go that EXTRA mile to make your posts thoroughly detailed!
No offense to you, but I have to take the logical side and tell you to stop backseat moderating. You think you're some type of holy grail to this community.

Is it still "rare" to catch an R188 on a weekday during peak?

NEXT:
(Note: The Montauge Tunnel has re-opened when this happens)
The track switches north of Jay Street-Metrotech station are stuck as follows:
To Manhattan: trains have to go to the Cranberry Street tracks/tunnel
From Manhattan: and trains are switched to the track towards Jay Street.
At the same time, all trains using the Montauge Tunnel are switched to the Nassau/Centre Street Line coming from Brooklyn (trains coming from Manhattan are unaffected by this).
Also, the switches on the local tracks south of West 4th got stuck to where in both directions trains on the local are automatically switched from the 8th Avenue to the 6th Avenue line.
Chaos I'm sure!
trains run via the in both directions from Jay St- Metrotech and Coney Island, and via 8th Ave Local from 59th to W4

trains run in two sections 168 to WTC and Utica to Euclid, via 8th Ave Express from 59th St to Chambers, limited service

I've been thinking of getting an old 50mm f1.8 lens for my Digital SLR, since they are so fast, I'll have to get used to manual focus but I can do that. Maybe an off-brand with a Nikon adapter, because off-brand's are so much cheaper. Any suggestions?

Why can't the trains just bypass those stations like Snowblock said?
I think BxM4Woodlawn assumes there is some blockage at those stations.
Due to some wierd reason, Euclid Ave (A, C) is closed and cannot be passed, plus the Cranberry tunnel is closed. Reroute and provide alternative service if needed.

As a railfan, I would want the R32s to retire.
As a commuter, I would want the R32s to retire.
I am laughing so hard… but seriously their time is due
