Is it more than a rail condition, or a rail fire? It shouldn't affect both directions....

  7. Jamaica Center is going to overload and service will crumble. It can simply not handle that many trains, as it wasn't meant to be a terminal in the first place. Maybe if Jamaica Center was modified to hold more trains it could work, but it is simply not worth all the effort, as stated above.

  9. Ugh...so annoyed. I was waiting at 42nd/8th, for the M42. As usual, it's crowded because of the express buses. One M42 (5234) comes up, has the "Next Bus Please" sign up. It pulls in, and it's basically empty. The driver did not let anyone in. The next bus pulls up a second later (3807), where it is packed to capacity. THIS bus lets the whole crowd of people waiting for the M42 in. (Another bus was also behind, who knows how many people) 3807 was so crowded, that I had to step off at every single stop to let people out (at least the fare machine was broken, it could have taken a lot longer), even though 5234 was basically empty. Why couldn't 5234 let the people at 8th Avenue on?? Isn't that the point of relieving the crowd? To not let the crowd outside go onto a bus that is already crowded? Also another point, there was space in the back of the bus, yet everyone had to crowd in the front. Why can't anyone ever move back to let more people on?

^along with some young adults, like me. I'm in a technical school that includes high school students, so that should explain it. Not sure about students who are over 21 though.

If it's integrated, I'm sure all students in the school would have the day off.

Probably. I forgot to ask today.

It seems hospital employees also get the day off too. Tried to submit my Medicaid form in person yesterday, but the entire building was closed.

  16. What happened to the this morning? I met my friends on the train and they said they were waiting for like 20 minutes. Checked MTA.info, only delays on at Jackson Heights.
  17. Wow. Also, Service Change Posted: 11/01/2014 12:03PM Due to signal problems at Court Sq, train service suspended between Nassau Av and Court Sq. As an alternative customers can take the B62 bus for service between Nassau Av and Court Sq. Allow additional travel time. Lol most trains only running between Bedford-Nostrand Avenues & Nassau Avenue.
  18. I'm doing it on 9/18 : No service b/w Broad Street & Brooklyn. : No service b/w Ditmars Blvd & 59th Street. : No service b/w Canal Street & Court Street. : Suspended. : No service b/w 71st Avenue & 36th Street.
  19. : Via 8th Avenue Local south of 59th Street - Rutgers Street. : Suspended. : Terminates at Canal Street. How did trains terminate at Hoyt-Schermerhorn???
  20. As much as I love the baby mama express, maybe Q100's could make local stops after Ditmars Boulevard? That limited gap is one of the only ones in the system, where there is only limited stop service and no local. People DO utilize the Q100, it gets crowded from the 1st stop from Riker's Island going southbound (getting on at 31st Street in the rush hour, it's already crowded, so I'm assuming this), so I don't think it should be replaced with a Q69 LTD. Also Q69 limiteds would probably bunch on Ditmars Blvd. 20th Avenue doesn't get as much traffic.
  21. Delays Posted: 10/24/2014 6:41AM Due to signal problems on the Manhattan Bridge, Broad St bound and Forest Hills bound trains are running with delays. Allow additional travel time. ._.
  22. Random plan: Merge of PATH & NYC Subway. : Hoboken - Newport - Exchange Place - World Trade Center - Brooklyn Bridge. Weekends all trains run to Newark Liberty Airport. : Newark Liberty Airport - Newark Penn Station - Harrison - Journal Square - Grove Street - Exchange Place - World Trade Center - Brooklyn Bridge : Terminates at Secaucus Junction OR Javits Center (can't decide) - 10th Avenue - Times Square : Newark Liberty Airport - Newark Penn Station - Harrison - Secaucus Junction - Javits Center - 10th Avenue - Times Square (15): Journal Square - Grove Street - Newport - Christopher St - 9th - 14th - 23rd - 33rd, late nights/weekends via Hoboken (16): Hoboken - Christopher St - 9th - 14th - 23rd - 33rd, late nights/weekends doesn't run The World Trade Center line would be merged with the City Hall "loop". The 42nd Street line would be merged to the ARC Tunnel, which would be extended from Secaucus Junction via the NJT R.O.W. to the PATH tracks. PATH was also proposed to be extended, so here it is. & trains would use current fleet, (15) & (16) would use the PATH fleet. All connections severed between NJT tracks & PATH tracks. I couldn't resist posting this.
  23. : Via Lexington Avenue Local south of 125th Street. : Via Lexington Avenue Express - no service b/w Grand Central & Brooklyn Bridge. or... : Via Lexington Avenue Local south of 125th Street. : No service b/w Grand Central & Flatbush Avenue. : Extended to Flatbush Avenue via Eastern Parkway Express - Nostrand Avenue. Just like the 9/11 changes to the except on the Lexington Avenue Line.
  24. : No service b/w Times Square-42nd Street & 61st Street. (Bypassing 69th Street). : No service b/w West 4th Street & Brighton Beach. : Two sections- 205 St to West 4 St Atlantic Av to Coney Island : Two sections- WTC to Queens Plaza or Northern Blvd Forest Hills-71 Av to Jamaica Ctr : Two sections- Coney Island to 21 St-Queensbridge Forest Hills-71 Av to 179 St : No service b/w Chambers Street & Forest Hills-71st Avenue. : Two sections- Lexington Av-59 St to Jay Street-Metrotech via tunnel 59 St to Coney Island : No service b/w Prospect Park & Astoria-Ditmars Blvd. : No service b/w Atlantic Avenue & Forest Hills-71st Avenue.
