rad3766 Posted August 22, 2009 Share #1 Posted August 22, 2009 I had the pleasure on Thursday afternoon to travel from Penn Sta. NY to South Station Boston on the Acela, man, its the only way to go, it was an absolutely great experience. Ive driven to Boston (ugh), taken the plane (more of a hassle), taken the bus and the Northeast Regional, but the Acela is hands down the best option. (....other than going by tugboat, but I get paid for that, lol. Bob

R44 5278 Posted August 22, 2009 Share #3 Posted August 22, 2009 Sweet! The Acela perhaps the most convenient since it leads into the city center, but it's so darn expensive.
rad3766 Posted August 24, 2009 Author Share #4 Posted August 24, 2009 Oh yes, the Acela is expensive, the ticket was 140.00, but if the company is willing to pay that kind of money, oh yeah, count me in.

rad3766 Posted August 28, 2009 Author Share #6 Posted August 28, 2009 A good job is always worth it! Do you get business class on planes as well? Nope, no bus. class on the plane. ( I usually have good luck getting an exit row seat = leg room, plus I sleep thru most of any flight I go on. My Acela trip was a one time deal, had to be in Boston toot sweet Bob
Forest Glen Posted August 29, 2009 Share #7 Posted August 29, 2009 I would have taken Megabus and pay $30 round trip.
R44 5278 Posted September 1, 2009 Share #8 Posted September 1, 2009 I would have taken Megabus and pay $30 round trip. And I would've been right behind you. It's surprising that a diesel bus costs less than a electric train.
