Pablo M 201 Posted December 31, 2007 Share #26 Posted December 31, 2007 track 4 I forgot to quote Pablo in the original post. OHHHHHH. Yeah, you're right. Thats the track I had in mind. Ya, surprisingly at a station NWK Penn, its not a good thing to have that gap. And its down the entire platform too, sadly. But its not so much of a very wide gap. But when an Amtrak train shows up on that track, ppl better be very careful because getting onto the AmFleets is quite a step.
sebbieprops Posted December 31, 2007 Share #27 Posted December 31, 2007  No more buses or trains for you two! I'm buying you both bikes, and that will be your new mode of transportation, rain, snow, sleet, or shine. All right, fine. I won't take the Bx19 anymore. I'll walk to Prospect and take the Bx17. Fair enough!
sebbieprops Posted December 31, 2007 Share #28 Posted December 31, 2007 Speaking of gaps, East Tremont Avenue and 174 Street on the and lines both have some wide gaps, but I haven't heard of any problems of people falling into them. Also the last door of a Manhattan bound and train at Simpson Street has a wide gap too. In addition, there is a spot at Newark Penn with a wide gap. 174th on the has a wide gap because of the curve of the station. I'm not so sure about Tremont - it's been a while since I've used that station. Simpson has a curve on the end, so yes, if you get in the last car, there's a bit of a gap. Still, it's not a big one.
