EE Broadway Local Posted December 18, 2009 Share #26 Posted December 18, 2009 Well, if you live in an area with no Subway then you have no choice.. Let say Riverdale on the MNCRR.. I SOMETIMES would take the MNCRR IF the bus or subway is far of course.. Possibly also in Eastern Queens in the areas beyond the subway.
Infamous85 Posted December 21, 2009 Share #27 Posted December 21, 2009 LIRR to/from Locust Manor - Penn Station. Far more convenient than the subway, its closer (less than 5 minute walk) and faster, its more luxurious too lol j/k. I never take the subway unless its from Penn Station to the Port Authority Bus Terminal (1 stop).
LRG Posted December 21, 2009 Share #28 Posted December 21, 2009 On days I don't feel like dealing with & (when in Manhattan) or the (A)to the (when Im in downtown Bklyn), I take the LIRR from Penn Sta or Flatbush to Jamaica, then take the Q30/31 bus home.I've acutally been doing that alot lately...and I think it may be because I don't really care for the R-160's.... NICE!!! I don't take other trains just to avoid car types (some people do, believe me) but it's always good to have an alternative plan to get home if the need arises. Pablo M 201 Posted December 22, 2009 Share #29 Posted December 22, 2009 Whenever I have time on the weekends, I usually go for an LIRR ride from Flushing to Penn Station after my day is done and I get food there.
