OK, I know it's short notice and a weekday...but if anyone won't be at work or in school, here's what we're thinking. Leave Penn Stn (10 AM) to GCT via Times Sq, arr 10:21. Leave GCT @ 10:45 taking the uptown to 149th. At 11:15, XFR to Wakefield bound with various stops for photos. Return to 149th, XFR to Woodlawn bound with various stops for photos. Then, depending on time, either return to 125th, XFR to to Hunts Pt, XFR to continue up to Pelham with stops for photos. Then return to GCT via , then , to GCT -OR - Return 149th St, XFR to downtown to 96th XFR to Van Courtland Bound and head up to 125th , 238th and other stops as time permits. Then return to Penn Stn. We'll be stopping at various stations along the way and lunch / dinner will be by popular vote. We hope to be back at GCT or Penn by 6:00-6:30. I had hoped to do a weekend trip but my work schedule doesn't always allow that. I do realize that turnout will be sparse. Hopefully next time I can do something on a weekend. Only railfan trip I had was with TTMG. Since Bob & I are arriving on NJT, we can meet you outside the turnstiles on the NJT / Amtrak end of Penn.
